Al6, a grounder to castillo, who ran victorno back towards 1st. Castillo threw for the force at 1st against the batter and victorino ran back to 2nd. Delgado to reyes covering 2nd. Victorino ran back to 1st and reyes pitched it back to delgado and victorino shifted direction again, but he went out of his way a little to bump reyes and then past him. Obstruction was called on reyes and victorino was given 2nd.

I used to like Victorino - as an objective fan, not actually rooting for him - because he reminded me of Endy Chavez, and everyone loves Endy. But the past while, he's rubbed me the wrong way, and now it seems clear that he's a little punk.

Looking a little ahead, but why not bring in putz who had the day off rather than overuse krod?

I saw about 3 pitches of the game (fyi, this seems to be a trend...I don't watch and we win) but checking the box score after I was also expecting to see Putz with the save.

Maybe it was that it was against the Phillies, the game had the looks of slipping away a little bit, and Jerry wanted to go with the formula. If that was tonight vs the Buccos, he might be more inclined to go to Putz. I agree, we need to slow down his appearances pace a little bit.

Edit: just watched the victorino play. (http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/media/vi...67307&c_id=nym). agree with everything negative that is said about this little d'bag and would also not mind seeing one planted in his little league helmet next time we face them. he tried pulling this same crap in a game last year (or the year before) and the ump got it right, calling Victorino out. Too bad this ump was too much of a moran.

2nd Edit: Castro sure has shown the last week how lol that move was to PH for him with Santos

Does anyone know if you are allowed to tailgate in the Citi Parking Lots? I'm going to the game tomorrow and a few friends told me they now have a ban on tailgating?

Hi James,

Long time hope all is well.

My brother in law are getting tickets for an afternoon game in June.
I am excited to see the new park.

I'm not sure what the official policy is, but I've definitely seen people doing it.

Wednesday night, an entire group of Phillies fans were playing beer pong in the middle of the parking lot and no one seemed to bother them.

I'd bring red Solo cups and keep any bottles or cans hidden and I think you'll be OK.

I loved K-Rod's celebration after the game last night. I must confess, I did a little of that last night as well.

Tonight we drive for five.

So tonight the Mets will send Jon Niece to the mound without any pressure against the Pirates.

Manual said in an interview on WFAN with Ed Coleman that the team does not have room for Ollie in the bullpen. Jerry hinted that Ollie might really have an injury and they decided to put him on the dl.

Could Ollie really have an injury? Johan said in interview yesterday that Ollie is fighting through a bad knee. Smigs ( I think) posted the decline in Ollies performance seems to be injury related.

As far as the way this team has played, AWESOME. They look good. I do not mind Reyes's slump or lack of productivity because Murphy has played pretty well. Imho Reyes will not continue to bat .246 with only 12 runs. Murphy is batting .314 and has 17 runs.

Beltran has played like an effin MVP. I think I have finally forgiven him for taking strike 3 looking in 2006 against the Cardinals.

The bullpen looks like it has jelled. Parnell earned the job for the 7th inning. Putz in the 8th K-Rod as the closer. Feliciano is the lefty specialist. If Wagner comes back forget about it.

And don't forget about that Brian Stokes guy. He hasn't been used in what...2 weeks? But in his limited time so far this season he's been pretty good: 11IP, 0 Runs, 9 H's, 2 BB's, 6 K's.

I think Jerry already said that if it's close tonight it's going to be Parnell followed by Putz in the 8th and 9th.
