They gave up Fulmer. I think I like it a little less now. He made a big jump in AA this year.

It might be a stretch, but I don't think it's crazy to prefer Fulmer over Wheeler from a Mets perspective when you consider that Wheeler shouldn't be fully back from TJS in 2017 and he'll start to be more expensive and have half the years of control than Fulmer.

I mean having Fulmer making nothing instead of Wheeler making $5-10m allows the Mets more flexibility as the other pitchers become expensive.

Worst thing the Mets could do is get swept here and make this trade useless.

Well, we got Cuddyer for $15m next season, Granderson for about the same and neither or Cespedes can play CF anymore. Don't think they're spending $50+m to resign him.

We have a 5 day window after the world series. After that we cannot sign him until may 15th. He wants to test the market. Part of why Detroit had to trade him

Ron was so right. Why is Campbell taking a 1st pitch fastball when the dude can't throw a strike with any other pitch? Then he took a fastball for strike 3 on 3-2. So dumb.

We really have to thank Matt Williams for that win. He's the worst at bullpen management. Leaves this kid out there for a 3rd inning with Storen and Papelbon sitting out there. I know Storen pitched two days in a row, but he had a week off before that and this was kind of a big game. They could have buried the Mets away with a sweep.
