Jordan Schaffer looked like a little league striking out vs Rodriguez, i CANNOT believe he blew that save, and that 10th inning was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I am positive other teams don't lose like this. If there was a way to quanfity 'ridiculousness' and make it a stat, is there any doubt the Mets would lead it over the last 12 years?



Things that are ridiculous:

Walking a guy with the bases loaded to lose an LCS

Blowing a 3 run and a 4 run lead in the 9th inning in 2 games in a week to destroy an epic division come back

Blowing a 6 run lead to your division rival in the 9th inning en route to...

Blowing an unblowable lead to not make the playoffs when you are 99.7% to make them

Blowing an unblowable lead to not make the playoffs when you are......

Guys falling down in the outfield to give up runs in extra innings, people 'scoring' but being out for not touching 3rd in that same inning

Giving up a go-ahead hit to a relief pitcher who hasn't batted in 2 years in extra innings, and then coming out in the bottom of the inning and getting a triple from YOUR pitcher and still not doing anything with it.

Giving up grand slams to opposing pitchers

Giving up grand slams to opposing AMERICAN LEAGUE pitchers after your all-star 3rd baseman commits a 2 out error on the previous batter

Terry Collins saying it's NOT WORSE than blowing the 4 run lead inMilwaukee. Terry it IS WORSE because the 7-8th innings were the most excited I (and probably some other people) have been in 3 ****ing years. And defending Duda's moronocity at first base is ridiculous. Duda isn't THAT GOOD OF A HITTER ANYWAY. BRING SOME SCRUB UP FROM THE MINORS WHO CAN'T HIT BUT CAN PLAY THE GOD DAMN POSITION. The Duda play was dumber than the balk.

Having him at 1st and Murphy at 3rd is probably the worst combined 'corners defense' in Major League History. I've been watching baseball for a while and Murphy is the worst Met I've ever seen at 3rd. I have only seen 2 guys worse than Duda, (and one of them IS MURPHY!) Moe ****ing Vaughn was better at 1st base than these people.

is it really that hard to get depth at first or third base? why do we have to have people out of position? why cant we teach players how to play these positions or why do they insist on having people move around instead of learning one position right? i bet most teams have like a first baseman in AAA that actually knows how to play the position in case their major leaguer goes down or at the very least i bet the player can hit if they cant field
