Prolly should watch more games if you think Kidd is a bibby clone.

true. still meh tho.

dumb question:

is the euro 3 pt line closer than the nba line? cus copeland was apparently some sort of PF 3pt specialist judging by his euro stats. shot a novakesque 44% last year.

http://basketball.realgm.com/player/...d/Summary/4094

first glance looks like excellent shooter/3pt shooter, poor rebounder.

anyone know a good site for non nba basketball stats?

Knacks hired Dave Hopla as shooting coach and also Hakeem Olajuwon for low post moves.

wow I think this Dave Hopla guy might have been the same guy that came to my basketball camp when I was 10. This would have been 1994. I've don't remember the guy's name, but he basically was giving a lecture/demonstration on shooting, was just shooting jumpers for like 45 minutes straight and I don't know if he missed once. If he did it was when he was way behind the 3 point line. It was crazy. Been wondering who that was but Hopla fits the description. He was more impressive than the 2 NBA scrubs I've seen shoot in person, John Crotty and Charlie Ward, who actually have pretty good career 3 point shooting numbers.

Mavs have been scoring buckets like crazy. Love to see what Knicks can do defensively against them. Would be amazing be be 4-0 with a tough 3 game road trip following.

comparing kidd to bibby might be the worst comparison in the history of the universe

He's significantly better than Bibby was. He plays good defense and can guard SGs. He also rebounds. He's still an elite passer, especially on entry passes, which helps a ton in the half court. They've been playing a really slow-tempo game so far, which suits Melo perfectly.

Bibby literally did nothing well, including shoot 3s, which was supposed to be all he could do.

The Prigioni/Sheed lineup is gonna start hurting us soon. Camby also sucks. It's nice that the good lineups can build nice leads though and keep guys rested.

the good news is once Shump and Amare come back i can't see Prigioni in the rotation. Between Felton/Kidd/J.R./Brewer/Shump for at most 3 spots on the floor, and 2 for when they play Melo/Amare/Chandler together, hopefully Prigs stays on the bench.

I'm a little disappointed in the garden faithful. All these ovations for Sheed but not as much for Camby. Camby was actually on the Knicks the last time they were good. Man it was great watching him in the '99 Eastern Conference Finals just abusing the Davis boys for offensive rebounds.

I think it's mostly because the fans view Sheed as more of a joke/sideshow and just cheer him on like they did for like Herb Williams when he entered a game late in his career.

They probably stil expect a lot from Camby.

Btw after watching first two games I assumed Sheed actually had the Herb Williams type role---getting worried now seeing him come into the game earlier and earlier.

Agreed. Herb really was the GOAT Knicks victory cigar player. Anyone remember Eric Anderson?

I always remember Mike Breen discussing the Herb situation during a "we want Herb" chant. He said it's a tough position for Herb and JVG because you don't want to be throwing a player in "just for laughs". Sure enough, they showed Herb on the bench uncomfortable during the chant.

How come the auto-sub for NBA Live games would put Herb in as the Ewing backup? What did the real teams do? Move Oakley to the 5 temporarily?
