BUMMPPPPPP for 1st preseason game. A few comments/questions:

Starters looked solid
Bradshaw and Ware looked great

Beatty looks like he has a long way to go.
Carr & Woodson looked bad

Why was Hakim slumming with the the 3rd team offense?

who is this derrick ward?? (I think we will miss Plaxico tho, if only for like 5-6 games till someone steps up and has a big second half of the season )

Our D is going to be insane.. like '85 Bears insane, Tirico or whoever mentioned we'll be running 5 D-linemen fronts, I'm not ashamed to admit I got a ROD

this scares me, I mean especially Carr looked really bad.

Also someone up there needs to keep Jay Feely away from the Reservoir Tavern. And remind him that he needs 10 blockers

Yeah, I didn't think about it until this morning, but we played without Tuck, Canty, Bernard, Boley, Webster & Ross and still held Car to 91 yards in the 1st half. Sick.

hakim is a big behind cuz injuries prevented him from a bunch of practices. hopefully he'll catch up soon.

im pretty excited for the potential barden/nicks combo. could be super deadly.

Burress goes to jail.

NEW YORK -- Former New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and agreed to a two-year prison term for accidentally shooting himself at a Manhattan nightclub.

Burress pleaded guilty Thursday morning to one count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a lesser charge than he initially faced. Under a plea agreement, he agreed to a two-year prison sentence and two years of supervised release.

Burress was indicted earlier this month on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment. He faced a minimum sentence of 3½ years if convicted at a trial.

Burress' sentencing is set for Sept. 22.

If he were Eli Smith or whatever, he wouldn't have been the first overall pick in the 2004 draft, now would he?

I know its preseason and we are missing a lot of starters, but our defense looks horrible tonight.

i missed most of the first half, but jesus our backup QBs are both horrible. if eli manning gets hurt this team is in serious trouble.

The scary thing is that our back up O-Linemen look so godawful, that if any of the starters get injured for an extended period of time Eli could take a beating this year.

PFT is reporting that DT Jay Alford suffered a torn MCL and a partially torn ACL in last night's game.

I understand Bill Simmons 5 year SB rule, but why do the Giants always suffer a huge injury on defense every pre-season? Remember Sehorn on that return a few years ago? Then Osi, and now this. I know I'm missing others as well.

Severe seems like a stretch from everything I've read.

There's no word yet on how long he'll be out, but this is the same hamstring that has been bothering him for the last couple weeks. Coach Tom Coughlin called the injury "very frustrating. Poor kid just can not get past that." Terrell Thomas will probably fill in while Ross is out.
Read into how you want. Severe, mild, pansy ass, whatever.

Well maybe we should take pain tolerance into account. Could be severe if it were me because I'm a huge baby. A strained hamstring would sideline me for weeks.
