Just finished the full replay on NFL network. So many things could have gone wrong so many times and that comeback never happens. What. A. ****ing. Game.

ya, i cant wait till later when i can watch the full replay while reading the super bowl thread

the patriots are just so well coached. all of the trick plays are done so well and always have a reason

that onside kick was def right to me, really like going up the middle and having the kicker block. it was almost perfectly executed.

the fake knee, the edelman pass. lucky that a coach like belichick is even in the NFL

^ Think I could have done without the Chung over-the-shoulder punt return though.

Gost's kickoffs in the fourth quarter were massive, pinning the Falcons at the 10 and the 15. Atlanta definitely should have either onside kicked or kicked it to Amendola (in for Dion Lewis) at the goal line to start overtime instead of conceding the free touchback.

Lol at that headline.

Thinking back to the Jones and Collins trades...further evidence that Bill B knows what he is doing. Especially with Jones, trading him turned into Thuney and Mitchell (via draft picks), as well as Bennett and Long (via $$ saved). Just an incredible depth move.

After rewatching, the only play call I still don't get is the Bennett screen pass at the end of the half. Seems like there was almost no upside to it.

Otherwise, Id like to wait to see the All-22 of the Chung over the shoulder punt catch to see if they were trying some trickery there before I judge that play too harshly.

The play calling was mostly brilliant however.

They were trying to do the return the Rams used to beat the Seahawks a couple years ago, fake that the punt went to the right, have Chung catch it and hopefully have an open field.

ATL punt coverage just didn't fall for it.

Did anyone think Bennet for a split second looked like he might pass on that screen before the half? In game I thought so and then watching the replay still looked like it to me.

I think it was sort of a busted play, in the sense that he had 9 defenders in front of him so he sort of checked up. I don't think he was going to throw though agree it looked weird

Yeah, I realize that's what they were trying, but once Chung realizes that the gunner's still on him, think it might have been +EV just to give up and let the ball land.

Is there another angle of that fake knee? It looked like he had space and they had half the Falcons going the wrong direction. I think they only had one DB playing outfield.

Browsing through youtube Videos of Atlanta fans is so much fun. I mean you think you have seen it all two years ago but its even better this time.

Finally got to watch the game last night (I was at a party Sunday, much harder to follow along except for the broad strokes).

WHAT A TEAM EFFORT! Name a player--any player!--and I'll tell you about a huge play he made to help win this game. I'm so happy for these guys.

One thing I loved watching this season was the comeradery of the running backs. If one scored a TD, the others didn't pout. They hugged and celebrated like family members. Blount, White, Lewis, Develin, and Bolden. Each guy was so happy for the other guy when he made a play.

When White scored the gwTD, the first player to congratulate him in the end zone was Blount, who wasn't even on the field for the play. He FLEW into the picture from the bench, not celebrating with the nearest teammate, bee-lining to White.
