Re: New England Patriots 09, now with better kharma
season not off to tremendous start:
Quote:
Patriots rookie linebacker Tyrone McKenzie, who was injured during the team's rookie mini-camp last weekend, is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, according to a source close to the rookie.
The second of the team's two third-round picks in the 2009 NFL Draft, McKenzie was injured during the first of two practice sessions last Saturday. During a one-on-one coverage drill, McKenzie became tangled up with a running back and went down.

From ESPN.com
Jason Taylor takes less money for Miami return
I had hoped the Pats could land him.

It's raining! Or, why is Bill dunking the ball in soap? Or, why do we have a meeting at 7:30 to talk about everything we've already talked about. Geez!"

We've got the smartest coach ever. In any sport. Period.
Of course, The Old Soap On The Ball Trick can't hold a candle to the time they were preparing to play Jacksonville in the playoffs. The J'ville D-Line was the tallest in the league, and led the league in batted down passes, so during practice that week, the D-Line rushed Brady while holding racquetball rackets.

Re: New England Patriots 09, now with better kharma
It's been a long time since I was this excited in July for an NFL season.
OK, Tom, time to show everybody that 16-0 was no fluke.
(Hey, mods, what do you think about moving this to Single Season Whatever?)

That single season forum was only created because the yankee fans find it necessary to make a post every two minutes duirng their games and it was clogging up the main forum.

Your obsession isn't cute anymore; it's bordering on disturbing now. Seek help immediately.

I'm moving it, but it's weird how obsessively angry the Yankees homers are about the split-off. nutshot2 is no exception; I can't remember a post from him that doesn't bitch about it. It seems like if you have some sort of Yankee avatar there is a >90% chance you will find a reason to bring it up in random threads. It can certainly be undone in the future, it's been a month and is still a trial.

Re: New England Patriots 09, now with better kharma
Question for the Gillette faithful:
I have two SRO tickets to Falcons game. Are SRO only tickets worth it, or should I sell them for $100 and use that money for food/beer? I know you're limited to certain areas and googling told me to get there early or else I won't get a good view. That sounds like it sucks. However, I don't feel like shelling out $400 to sit in nosebleeds. Thoughts?

I've only gone to a handful of games and always had good seats but would always go to one of the standing areas to stretch. These areas were not crowded and had great views.
In fact, there are always fans that stand alot in the seated sections, blocking your view, so you end up standing too, so the standing section is not that bad in comparison.

lol? my posts have nothing to do with the forum splitting, at all. if you can find more than maybe one made on the day it happened (if that), i'd be interested in seeing it.
i was referring to toro's obsession with the yankees, so much so that he posts in a patriots thread about it. i'm pretty sure you'd never see anyone in a ny giants thread discussing the red sox.
that was my point, totally unrelated to the forum split. i actually like the forum split, and i think the main forum is much less cluttered as a result.
weird.
you may be remembering me reporting anatta's incessant retarded trolling of the yankees thread, which again has nothing to do with the forum split, as it would undoubtedly happen if the forum hadn't changed
