Easley is a bust. Massive lol at being an idiot like Salva and criticizing the Pats 1st round draft record.

Wonder how deep we will get into the season before he gets tard banned this year.

There was some speculation on WEEI that there's more to the Easley story. The Pats took a cap hit when they released him. Why not try to move him, even for a 5th?

He actually looked good when he was in there, a quick inside rusher on passing downs.

Why not give another team a chance to bite and save $2.9M against the cap?

More like, lol @ you for saying I was criticizing BB's 1st round draft record. It's actually pretty stellar. You seriously just made that up. I am, however, criticizing the use of 1st round draft capital on an experiment. The guy had ACL surgeries on BOTH knees, wasn't projected to go that high, and for some reason BB still pulled the trigger. Take him in the 3rd, then.

We just keep shrugging our shoulders when the Pats lose a 1st rounder or whiff on one like in this case. Brady makes everything better, he's the aloe applied to all of our wounds.

Here are some quick thoughts on the Patriots' schedule.

Primetime Games
We've got five primetime games this year. Three Sunday games are at Arizona, home vs. Seattle, and at NY Jets. A Monday game is at home vs. Baltimore and our Thursday game is home vs. Houston.

The Jets game is late in the year (week 12) for our first meeting. If they're any good this year, it could be a rowdy crowd.

Travel/Bye/Short Week
Getting Arizona on opening weekend is great. The team can easily fly out early rather than take an exhausting flight a couple days before the game.

After that, the Patriots have two long trips to San Francisco (Week 11) and Denver (Week 15). It's unfortunate these are late in the season. Also, the Patriots play the Jets after both games.

After the Baltimore MNF game, our only short week will be at Denver.

The Week 9 bye is good- right in the middle of the schedule.

Familiar Themes
We're playing Buffalo early (Weeks 4 and 8) and Miami to close the season. Should we pencil in a Week 17 loss to the Dolphins?

Patriots 2016 Schedule (All times Eastern)

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 11, at Arizona, 8:30 p.m.

Week 9: BYE
Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 13, Seattle, 8:30 p.m.

They would have traded him if they even could have moved up a pick in the 7th round.

Pretty clear either they tried & no one wanted him, or he's too injured to even try to trade him.

the patiots had a top offensive o-line until last year. guys like danny woodhead used to average 5.0 yards a carry.

also, lol @ saying Brady has been forced to do without. He has Gronk, who is the greatest TE of all time and greatest receiving asset in the league.

The fact noone even claimed Easley on waivers shows that there wasnt any interest around the league in trading anything for him.

I honestly don't care. People forget Brady will be back in October. If he wins one for the thumb, the NFL has a huge PR problem. Keep in mind the highest-selling jersey player from this year is Brady. Nice ****ing job.

Gamboooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool, I kinda wish you would get off my nuts. I don't need to prove my Pats allegiance to you of all ****ing people. I would rather read about KBZ's draft theories. He's legit and one of the reasons I come to this board. You contribute nothing.

I've been considering life after NFL fandom.

This tears it.

Meh, so what.

Pats go 2-2 or 3-1 under Jimmy G, Brady comes back with a chip on his shoulder, the team plays with a vengeance. Ring #5

BB has to find that hidden gem of an O-Lineman somewhere deep in the draft.

I'm guessing unless Brady somehow miraculously gets the hearing by the full 2nd circuit, BB signs Hoyer to back up Jimmy.

Vegas is treating Brady at roughly 3.5 points per game, which means still dogs in Arizona and still favorites in the other three, fwiw.

This may be worthy of a four game suspension. Sure, at least one game.

Gonna be in town next week, considering going to a preseason game, if it's a bargain, compared to a real game.

Anyone know if it is?

Looks like half price from regular season. Not sure about availability, though.

I've gone to a couple, it's a lot cheaper but not worth it imo. Preseason games (especially the first 2-3) are boring. You'll see the best players for either none or barely any of the game and the rest of it you'll watch 2nd-3rd stringers. If you live near the stadium I guess it could be worth the amount of fun it is, if you have to travel to get to it id suggest not bothering.

Yeah, lots of $30-50 tickets on CL.

Fortunately, found something else to do that day.
