You shouldn't want Favre as your quarterback down four points with two minutes left in the game. He'll be s below average when trailing in the fourth quarter. You're simply buying into the hype created by Favre's genuinely great days past.
The Vikings are less likely to make the playoffs with Favre as their quarterback. If they do make it with him, they are less likely to win playoff games with Favre.
Favre is a below-average quarterback and should only be expected to get worse.
Based on who we currently have, I disagree.

He is a 40 year old QB coming of Tommy John, who was comparable to Kyle Orton FFS, he isn't a great catch and I think Sage/Tjax making a leap is much more likely than Favre returning to form after Tommy John.
Favre didnt have Tommy John surgery, he just had a tendon removed. It was not used as a replacement for another tendon. Favre's procedure was fairly minor.
TJ has zero chance of being an effective player in the NFL imo.
I've said this before earlier in this thread: if Favre does come to MN and is a failure, it magnifies Childress' failure to get us a competent (let alone good) starting QB during his tenure here. So if Favre fails, I don't see how Zygi can keep Chilly another year. If Favre is better than what we now have, the Vikes will have a good year. win-win imo. Pissing off Packer fans is an added bonus.
