so sometimes for my amusement I read the trib online's comments threads sorted by popularity. I cannot believe how much people want to support this new stadium push. If I was living in hennepin I'd prepare the lube. Sure the dome sucks but right now, right after the twins? Its 25 years old, not 40. Economy is terrible. I dunno maybe I'm weird but extra taxes for stadiums seems ridiculous.

meh while i'm not exactly happy with the way funding went down for the new stadium the tax bump was pretty minuscule

If Favre doesnt come back next year, & we wind up with TJ & Sage to choose from, with Chilly guiding the ship, we're doomed for a long period of mediocrity. Fan interest will go away, and there's now a good chance the team will leave without a stadium. We better enjoy this year & hope Chilly doesnt **** up winning the big one for us.

Yeah. Hiring Chilly in the first place without interviewing anyone else was awful. The extension is worse.

In general, public funding for sports stadiums are lol-cashgrabs. It absolutely amazes me that people even somewhat support these. But then again, everyone loves making other people pay for what they want.
