Re: Minnesota Vikings - Fire Chilly

I've been thinking, this is such a homecoming for Randy. There can't be anywhere in the country where he's loved the way he is here. Every fan I know loves the guy and remembers him fondly, I could give a **** about what Souhan or Reusse or anyone else has to say about it. The ovation he's gonna get in Week 6 will be crazy. He's gotta be really happy to be coming back here.

Re: Minnesota Vikings - Fire Chilly

They'd sell alot more jerseys obv if didn't wear #84 again.

Chilly's salivating because using Moss as the single WR in his 3 TE and 2TE/FB formations opens up the whole playbook.

RE-RE-EXTEND CHILLY!!!!

not actually, if we go 2-2 over next 4 but beat GB i think we will be in good position. However if things get clicking no reason we should settle for 2-2!!!

I think the Ds gonna be revitalized, they needed a little of the weight off their shoulders!

yeah, if we can win vs DAL and @ GB this month to go 3-4 i'd be ecstatic and think we're favored to win division.

Pretty sure "Shiancoe" and "Favre" should read "Fat Guy." Maybe slightly unfair to Visanthe.

Re: Minnesota Vikings - Fire Chilly

You guys read this? Another schism-like article.

They quote a player saying,

Quote:
“I think it’s all or nothing. It’s either the missing piece and we go all the way, or Moss takes on Chilly and this thing blows up by the end of October. There’s no C grade on this one. It’ll either be an A or an F.”
That's exactly the sentiment that led me to thing the Vikings would be under .500 this year. A struggling season under a bad coach who loses everyone in the locker room and they finish in the toilet.

Moss just might be enough to turn it all around imo. IF Chilly is smart and gets out of the way of the offense. Go 3 WR, Shank and AP and let Favre call the plays in the huddle.

Re: Minnesota Vikings - Fire Chilly

I think whoever said that is right. And I don't think it matters. I said somewhere else, I think this team would consider going 9-7 and missing the playoffs or a first round exit to be a complete failure anyway.

Re: Minnesota Vikings - Fire Chilly

“[Favre] thinks Childress has no clue about offense,” a Vikings player said.

from another article linked in the above: Chillinky

Quote:
The heart of the conflict is Childress’ perceived lack of football savvy. Some players believe that most of the offensive coaching staff is made up of yes-men like Bevell. Furthermore, Childress is the type who doesn’t take outside ideas very well.

“He has his way of doing things and that’s it,” a player said.
