probably true, but taking out kubel would have been bad imo. guess they could have moved him to right and taken out cuddyer, meh

edit: err actually, they needed a catcher, can you move a DH to defense, I don't even know?

Gomez pinch runs, double switch, Morales enters in Kubel's spot, Gomez stays in Redmonds spot.

also that was on my mind as well, if Span would have gotten to it. He def would have gotten to that one a few days ago vs DET that Kubel missed by a foot. This one today was alot closer and I'm not sure Span gets it. He might have but I'm not convinced it was a certainty.

im not saying that it was bad to put morales in gomez's spot, i'm just saying that that ball probably would have been caught. hindsight is 20/20...just pointing out an example of the importance of outfield range. (and implying that gomez and span should both play every day)

Man, Matt G could be such an asset to our bullpen if used properly. He's a guy that can throw two innings easy, maybe even three at times. And he'd be fine as long as after throwing 2 innings you didn't use him the next 2 days. But, Gardy has to get everyone up over and over and pitch in thirds of innings all the time

i think you probably can.

but i've never understood the punto hate. he's not a good hitter, but he's not that bad. i mean he's way better than adam everett.

he's just getting on my nerves lately, he's real close to hitting like the crap from a few years ago when he was one of the worst hitters in baseball. Not talking about numbers, but his swing at the plate.
