I'm on board. We need more wins and more runs batted in imo

Thoughts on trading Dozier?

I wonder how much the twins will save by signing him to that non-extension extension awhile back.

We have the makings of a legit lineup but we have no pitching. How soon can we realistically expect to compete? If competing is a few years off it would be hard for me to argue against trading him for pitching or catching help.

What's up with Molitor's goofy lineup today? Clicking buttons?

Went to the game yesterday. Not accustomed to having trouble finding parking at a Twins game. *AM* accustomed to freezing while there, though.

Sano's HR looked like it was still on the way up when it crashed into the seats, 0.3 seconds after leaving his bat.

Weekday day game parking is awful.

At what point do we start letting the pitchers hit and use the DH on Buxton?

Ramp C? I waited a half hour to get through a line to get into that ramp once, only to find out that it was full, and all the traffic waiting to get into it emptied onto gridlocked city streets. I think they were drawing a lot more fans back then than they are now though.

Nope it's an open air lot under the freeway off of 4th St and 7th Ave. Easy to get in and out, never seen it full. It isn't on Google maps, believe it is partially resident parking for a bunch of buildings in the area

I was not aware of that one. What street do you enter off of?

Would you take the Twins -500 that at any point during the season they will be 5 games over .500?

idk if 5-1 is enough. They look a lot like they did last season right now. I would not be surprised if this is the last day we see .500 this season.

Did anyone see Sano's "home run" that was overturned by replay into a double? What happened there? I was working when it happened, and couldn't watch, but the customers were oooh-ing and aaah-ing about it--but when I asked what happened specifically, none could tell me. And the vid on mlb.com is not a good look at it.

My question is: did it hit the top of the wall (not "the front of the wall near the top", but the actual pointing-toward-the-sky part of the wall), and spin back in?

I've been to that ballpark, and the top of the wall is like 3-4 feet wide, it seems, and thickly padded. I saw a ball pop out of a glove and ROLL along the top for about 10-15 feet before another outfielder ran over and pulled it back into play.

What happened there? Anyone?

It hit the top corner of the padding facing the field and popped straight up and back into play. It was the correct call and not a home run.

THANK YOU!

I *did* manage to find the video of that 2008 play, tho!

Hopefully Buxton has turned a corner. 7bb, 4h and 2k over his last 5 games.

He at best projects the same (relative to position average) in RF as 3B. Since 3B is more valuable, moving him is thus an inefficient.

It could easily be a 5 run/year mistake which shaves 3 wins off of the value of Sano's team controlled years.

Not an actual quote, just my understanding of how they think.
The move back to 3B looks great so far.

The "have patience with Buxton" strategy showing reason for optimism:
