rivers is absolutely nothing like wes. he doesn't have the physical tools wes has, but he has 10x the skill and 10x the swagger and he certainly seems smarter. defense is not his strong point right now but he has the talent to be a bigtime scorer. he's a lot more similar to steph curry than he is to wes.

SI says Wes is the 12th best shooter in the NBA, lol.

Statistically he had the 12th best TS% on the Wolves last year. Hopefully there is a GM dumb enough to believe **** like SI that will give us something of value for Wes.

Hope that doesn't mess up his actual shot further.

Maybe he'll gain some loft on his shot as a result?

Lol, yes, it's always possible, .

I wouldn't be surprised that some of the shooting drills he's been doing the past have hurt his shot quite a bit (like being able to set that consecutive shots from behind the backboard thing at All Star weekend) - he needs to practice catch & shoot and even more importantly dribble-drive shots till he's sick of them. And/or just develop a floater, he probably wouldn't need to be able to actually hit real shots, just pass and hit floaters and layups.

Proposed trade on ESPN: Minnesota Timberwolves trade F Derrick Williams and the No. 18 pick to the Charlotte Bobcats for the No. 2 pick.

Re: Minnesota Timberwolves

who would they take? kidd-gilchrist? because i don't think robinson fits any better than williams.

honestly i think the best fit for them in the draft is harrison barnes

Re: Minnesota Timberwolves

Sounds like a pretty bad trade? I dno, I'm somewhat just basing this on the fact that from what I have heard the draft spots 2, 3, and probably 4 are not good value spots since picking there and picking a bit later is almost the same. Obv picking 1st is like 3 tiers above anywhere else in this draft.

Where would Derrick Williams go in this draft? Probably somewhere around 5 or 6 maybe? Or would he really fall into the teens? I don't follow college hoops or anything at all so I maybe don't have any idea. But giving up him and a later lottery pick doesn't seem worth it in this draft. That being said, the Wolves could try giving up anyone non Love/Rubio to get the #1 pick but that ain't gonna happen.

I think you make the case that this is a good trade. I'll ask in the draft thread, but I think Williams would go anywhere between 2-8 in this draft. I think it would be a good trade, you get the #2 pick to fit a need instead of the #2 pick that isn't. I don't think the 18th pick has a lot of value.

Victor on where Williams would be drafted.

is this nba season factored in?

if not, id say he goes 3-6. id say he goes ahead of barnes.

if you count this nba season, im thinking he drops behind barnes at least. mebbe all the way back to late lottery.
