This team is a Zak Irvin resurgence from actually being top 25 caliber.

Irvin again today: 31 minutes, 5 points, 3 Reb, 2 Ast, 1 PF. It's tough because we're so small if we run Simpson/Walton + MAAR or Robinson but we might have to if Irvin can't find his game

Well, that was fun. Completely different team when Irvin is at least competent offensively. He played some great D tonight, too.

Beilein deserves most of the credit for this win, though. The adjustments they made on Happ, especially taking away the baseline, were huge.

The ft shooting was a disaster but that has to be one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a very long time. And there will be zero accountability from the Big Ten.

If you look at the box score on this one you have to wonder how on earth this was even a close game. Outrebounded by 13, grand total of 3 offensive rebounds and zero second chance points. Minnesota shot 23 more free throws. Shot 50% on the free throws we did get. Got almost nothing from the bench.

They may not be good (they're not good) but at least there is some heart.
