also, i think its hysterical how many jets fans are telling me this is the most undeserving win in football history

the massive 112 yards passing (52 net) and 52 yards rushing was a great offensive showing

we held your offense to 100 yds rushing in the first hald

you had 200 yards in the 3 drives that our offense wasnt on the field (the fumble return and 2 kick returns - 250 yards)

so besides that our offenses both did nothing

the dolphins couldn't cover Dustin Keller. Braylon made great catches and fought off/broke tackles. Cotchery got open when needed. Your leading receiver had half of his yards on a screen pass. The defense shut down the wildcat for something like 7 yards on the day. The same thing that burnt the Jets the first meeting, and the league.

The Jets average 1 kickoff returned for a touchdown against them one every 167 kick offs. Only once in their history have they allowed two touchdowns in a season; and the Dolphins had two returns in one game (back to back)

also include the fact recovering a fumble has luck, let alone it bouncing perfect and running it in for a score.

If you want to play the "take away drives" game, take away the Dolphins 2 returns and defensive touchdown and they have 9 points.

But yes, watching the game, I did think the Jets played much better then the Dolphins.

the point is you got all those drives while we werent on the field.

I mean, you can almost say the same exact thing for this game except replace the Dolphins with the Jets and the 2 fake punts with a terrible Shonn Greene fumble.

The point is, the Fins offense wasn't on the field because they didn't have to be. They scored three touchdowns on returns (2 KO's, 1 fumble). These are high variance plays, but they still happened. But I honestly believe the Jets played better on 2 of 3 sides of the ball (offense and defense, obv.)

Yes, if Ginn and Taylor don't take it to the house, maybe Henne and Ronnie Brown replace those TD's with offensive ones but I doubt it. Moral victories don't mean ****. They're not going to get us into the playoffs. Winning games will. And we didn't. I don't really care THAT much about playing well in a division loss.
