I've got to give you credit man -- you've been hanging in here pretty much by yourself for years. I come by every couple of months to see how you're doing!
I logged every CLOWNEY play today. I don't want to hear about how he wasn't healthy. He played 52 snaps. He was healthy.
I'm not Needle or someone who knows what they are doing but anyway here is my TLDR list of his plays. It's awful. Drives broken up by "***"
1) Cut to the ground by TE
2) Sealed off by TE Jermaine Gresham
3) OK penetration vs. LT on 3rd and 4 conversion
4) Speed rush sealed around behind Dalton by LT. No impact.
5) Unblocked from left side. Overpersues runner. Gets chipped but no impact anyway.
6) Unblocked from right side. Handoff to other side, RB tackled before CLOWNASS gets there.
6 plays, 0 impact. Money collected $76,998.28
***
(Sits out first play of 2nd drive)
7) Bull rush wrap up by LT.
8) Taken to the ground by LT on speed rush 3rd and 7 conversion.
(Sits out 4 plays)
9) Faked out by read option by Dalton. LOL.
10) Lost on where to line up. Lines up at MLB and just rushes up gut into wall.
11) Decent bull rush against LT. Pass completed, not hurried.
(Sits out a play)
12) Lined as 3-4 RE. Decent bull rush 1-on-1, no impact.
(Sits out a play)
6 plays, no impact. Once in a generation talent, just like Reggie Bush.
***
13) Bull rushes TE Gresham, who blocks him.
14) Drops into coverage on 2nd and 10 to middle of field. No Bengal within 10 yards.
15) Blocked by LT 1-on-1 (he's yet to be double-teamed all game)
16) Unblocked. Handoff to other side of field.
17) Completely locked up by Gresham again. Gets frustrated, shoves Gresh in chest.
18) Speed rush beats LT but Dalton gets rid of ball for completion before he was hurried.
19) Hands on hips. Cincy timeout.
(Sits out 3 plays)
20) 3rd and G from 6. Reads pass outside to Green, changes direction makes good co-tackle at the 2.
21) Fade to AJ Green on 4th and G from the 2. LOL. No impact obv.
9 plays, 1 good play (tackle). 1 decent play thwarted by Dalton. Wallet gets fatter.
***
(Sits out first 2 plays of drive)
22) 3rd and 4 unblocked Dalton rushes to other side. Swearinger tackle, Clowney arrives late and after play is dead and Dalton stands up he tries to swat ball away like he had anything to do with anything in his career yet. Celebrate tackled made by other guys.
1 play, 0 impact. Looks like a tool celebrating someone's tackle.
***
23) Unblocked. Slow cutting back as pass is completed. He slips trying to change direction. ATHLETIC FREAK OF NATURE.
24) Decent bull rush on LT. Pass complete. No pressure.
25) False start
26) Speed rush OK. Gets all the way around but Dalton runs out of pocket (not because of Clowney).
27) Dalton knee.
3 plays, 1 terrible one, 2 decent plays with no result.
***
28) Manhandled by a tight end.
29) Decent bull vs. Gresham. Gets 1 hand on RB as RB collides with other pile. Announcer: "Clowney LED that charge." Uhhh, no.
30) Rush LT, pass complete.
31) Blocked out of play by Gresham, that dominant left tackle tight end.
32) 2nd and G from 1. Good pancake of tight end, is first contact on stuffed runner.
33) Blocked out by "TE" Kevin Brock (6'5" 315), hit by falling LT. No penetration. TD run.
6 plays, 1 good contact, 1 decent. Wow. At least he plays every game.
***
(Sits out 5 plays)
34) Lines up an entire foot offside, refs don't see it. Dalton pick-6. No impact tho. Was hoping this would get called back b/c of this moron who CANT EVEN LINE UP RIGHT.
1 play, 1 moronic play that should have negated 7 points for our team. What an idiot.
***
(Sits out 2 plays of drive)
35) Good spin move vs. LT. Dalton gets rid quickly incomplete. No pressure but he did have a line to the QB.
1 good play, no impact.
***

37) Bull rush LT. No penetration.
38) Unblocked on swing pass. Co-tackle as 2nd contact.
39) 1 on 1 blocked by LT. Gets held a bit as Dalton runs free but worse holding on Watt is called.
40) Quick pass completion no impact.
41) Spin move right into LT who locks him up.
42) Run blocked by Gresham. No impact.
43) Gets hand up to swat pass but it's a few feet too late.
44) Unblocked on run up middle, no impact.
45) Tries arm over against LT. Slips and falls again, LG jumps on him on the ground. lol.
46) Huge 3rd and 9 from 33. Slow off line, gets locked up by Gresham again.
(Sits out 2 plays)
47) 3rd and 5 from the 13 yardline. NEUTRAL ZONE INFRACTION PENALTY, 5 yds.
(Yanked for the next 3 plays)
48) Blocked by LT.
13 plays, 1 costly penalty. 1 good co-tackle. That's IT. This dude SUCKS.
****
(Sits out 2 plays)
49) 1 on 1 blocked by LT.
***
(Sits out 2 plays)
50) Tries inside stunt into wall of 3 Bengals. Jesus.
51) Sealed, then pushed nearly to the ground by Gresham.
(Sits out a play)
52) Looks like useless giraffe on toss run.
(Sits out 2 plays)
3 terrible plays from a guy who doesn't know how the **** to play football.
Man, it's not like I was expecting WATTv2.0 but this guy sucks. Whitney Mercilus was far more effective in the same role, and he's a pretty mediocre OLB. Clowney on the field was a legit liability.
3 good plays all day. 2 co-tackles, and a good penetration near the goal line. 1 awful penalty, 1 awful penalty that was missed, and a bunch of just 0 impact plays.

Texans QB Ryan Mallett played through an injured right pectoral muscle during Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Bengals.
Mallett suffered the potentially season-ending injury in warmups, perhaps explaining his erratic play against the Browns. He's headed for an MRI and if it shows a tear, the chance he's been awaiting for so long is over. The Houston Chronicle is already suggesting that Ryan Fitzpatrick is "likely back" for the foreseeable future, although we wouldn't be shocked if the Texans turned to fourth-round rookie Tom Savage. Bill O'Brien has seen Fitzpatrick's ceiling and hit his head on it.
Ok I'll bite. Where Watt is from, it's like 20 min from me. Obviously we all love him in Wisconsin.
Texans have never had a qb (schaub definitely doesn't count) and we've had two hofers up here ever since I can remember. So in that regard, I wish you well. You'd be SB contenders with even a mid tier starting qb.
Then again, the wr core is nothing special. I like Hopkins though.
Clowney seems to be a clown or just getting tough luck? Idk, but regardless, that's hindsight. No fault there.
I love me some Arian Foster though!
I'm not here to bash, just giving you something for your thread.
players voted him #1, obviously he is well liked on top of his performance.
basically the first thing the Texans have ever won.
I mean I have the Texans subreddit, but I am a vet of 2+2 and would like to see some more people in here, I know the fans are out there, people like the Texans on reddit.
