I think where the confusion is that if the receiving teams gets the onside kick, they can still return it. If the kicking team recovers it, they cannot advance it. The offense takes over where it was recovered.

I'm still wishing we wouldn't have missed that pass first play in OT, but overall, they exceeded my expectations this year. I still think McCarthy gets outcoached but he finished the year a lot better than he started it. I liked his aggressive play calling despite the loss.

Every coach gets outcoached some games. 11 wins, though, he obviously found something that was working. McCarthy is control of the offense, and Capers the Defense. McCarthy's offense always put up points, but it was the D, again, this year that let us down.


Tauscher helped just because he was a better option that throwing Lang or Barbre to the wolves. If he can be brought back at the vet minimum, sure, but if he wants more, dunno.

Good to see Harris's rehab has gone so well. I was surprised that GB didn't grab a corner in the draft, I'm guessing they'd have targeted Kyle Wilson if Bulaga wasn't there.

The reality behind it is that he got outplayed by the other TE's in camp, he had to fill in at LB and never got another look back at him in the TE slot. I just don't know why you would cut a guy who can do so much. He was obv. very productive for GB in the TE position last season and I didn't see a drop off. He does very well in the special teams department, can even fill in with the LB's in a pinch, and oh yeah, played FB from time to time. I just don't get it. I know he wasn't the best of the rest @ TE behind Finley and Lee, but the fact that they guy is a football player outside of that should have brought some kind of play into that. Then again, I am not at every practice and watch the film they do, so who am I to 2nd guess there!!!

Wow they should have kept Blackmon. It's going to be Jordy until Shields can prove he can catch a football. Maybe Shields will take over next season as the return man.
