After purchasing opening day tickets I thought a thread needed to be started.

Things I'm hoping for this year:
Something better than last place
GREEAR not turning SE against the Tigers (or tigazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz as KKcountry would say)
Dontrelle Willis throwing strikes
Never seeing Brandon Inge again

More Rod Allen silliness than ever
and
92 wins and the AL Central crown..

I have a really good feeling about this season. I really hope neither Dontrelle or Robertson make the team, although I guess I could settle with using Robertson out of the pen.

Miguel Cabrera will win the AL MVP (like he should of last year)

Rick Porcello has a decent chance of making the opening day roster with everyone competing for our 5th spot blowing up. It'd be nice to see both him and Ryan Perry make the opening day roster. It would be just like 06 when we kept Verlander/Zumaya.

So its pretty clear were just gonna have to do without a lefty starter this year unless there retarded and give the 5th spot to Robertson just because hes such a "bulldogggg" and has a pretty terribad contract.

Didn't know Zack Miner become a LFP in the off-season. Thats pretty sick.

But Zack Miner sucks but Id deffff rather have him then either of those other 2 scrubs. Its clearly Rick Porcellos time to shine though.

lollllll epic fail on me......

if the lefthandedness suckfest continues, either Miner or Porcello would do.. Miner is so much better as a starter than a reliever

Bonderman is getting his shoulder looked at or whatever, did anyone hear what was up with that? If he isn't ready for the start of the season they both could be in the rotation.

I don't think they're going to be in any great hurry to bring Porcello north. He's still very young, short on high minors experience and (most importantly) no reason to start the clock on his service time when you've got money committed to Dontrelle and Nate.

Don't get me wrong I think he's got a great future, I just don't think he'll get the call before the end of the season unless there's an injury wipeout of the rotation.

From what I've heard, Porcello probably won't be up with the Tigers all year. The talent is quite obviously there, but he has a ways to go in terms of becoming a true MLB pitcher. Has anyone heard reports to the contrary? What makes us think he's going to be on the Opening Day roster? No need to push him too hard, imo.
