So now the story is they are just taking it easy with Levy to make sure he is ready on time, but he is on the non football injury list. Its the same thing we heard last season and we know how that went. We are definitely not getting the whole story there.

Season starts this Sunday!

I think we can all agree the preseason sucked. The first team offense played like garbage just about every time they were on the field. The O-Line is still our weak spot. It's a pretty inexperienced line so if they have any potential at all they should get better as the year goes on. The question is whether there is any talent there to develop or if it's just a bunch of wasted high draft picks.

There were a few surprise cuts. Stevan Ridley who was expected to split time with Abdullah, and TJ Jones who they had kept on the roster for the past couple years and Stafford said he expected a breakout year from the guy. I'm surprised they kept Corey Fuller over him (although he's on the PUP list). I'm sure even old and slow Boldin is a better WR, so they must not see much future potential for him.

Rudock is on the practice squad which I suppose is a gamble given that he had a good preseason and QB's have already started falling around the league. The team is screwed if Stafford goes down anyways. If Matt goes down Rudock gets promoted and hopefully competes with Danny for the spot because we know what to expect from Dan and it's nothing good. I guess they like him as more of a coach in a uniform.

Aside from Rudock every draft pick made the team, which hopefully means that this was a good deep draft with lots of talent. There were a handful of unknowns (Dwayne Washington, Kerry Hyder) who looked good against other teams 2nd and 3rd squads, so look for them to get some additional playing time this season.

Even Don Muhlbach gets a stay of execution as rookie LS Jimmy Landes ends up on the IR due to a "shoulder injury." I'm not saying the Lions are misusing the IR here, but Landes had a bad snap in preseason, appeared to never get hurt, and now he gets a year off and we keep his rights, getting one more year of Muhlbach who has been one of the better LS in the NFL.

Time for the Colts. I figure the O/U for Ziggy sacks should be about 2.5

we're gonna be >.500. d will be top 10-15. O will be streaky but has high ceiling/high floor. i'm ****ing pumped as usual.

Probably the lowest expectations I've ever had for any team I've ever rooted for, and that's saying something. Even the 100+ loss Tiger teams, I'd always think they'd have a shot to be > .500 because I was in my early teens and didn't know any better.

I get so upset to an unhealthy degree when the Tigers, Pistons, UM Hoops/Football lose a game. With the Lions/Wings I don't know, there's just a disconnect there. Wings wise, I've already experienced 4 cups and with the LOL cap, and us having a dog**** GM, I just don't see much hope. Same with the Lions, they have hurt me so many times that my emotions are completely dulled when it comes to them. Sure if they somehow start off 4-1 or something I'm gonna come around and get super into the season, but I know how its going to end. How it always ends.

They say you can't script sports, have they ever watched the Detroit Lions?

Schedule looks better than last year.

However. We are probably worst than last year. Expecting 7-9

Offense looked really good. Stafford looked sharp all day, given the results once Cooter took over and what I saw today, we might be able to just win games by outscoring people.

Stafford always looks good against 2nd tier banged up defenses. Lets see him put 24+ against a good D before popping the honolulu blue boner.
