Gotta throw every draft pick and the kitchen sink at D this coming draft. We could really be something if that pans out.

Notice T-Williams is a free agent this coming offseason. Think they sign him back?

Terrence Williams sucks ass and they should only resign him if he takes a minimum contract

Really really curious what ginger does around week 9-10 when Romo's ready to return, assuming that the team is above .500 and Dak's still not thrown a pick (or 1-2). It makes such a big difference not turning the ball over a bunch when your D is as average as ours. If our dummies fumbled a bit less we could be in even better shape. Really don't know what they do, Dak's legs make it so hard to blitz, so hard to only leave the 1 LB at the line. The play action they're starting to click on is only going to get better as his deep ball improves. Real tricky situation with a healthy Romo. I wonder if Jerry feels he ownes Tony one lasty shot at the playoffs before turning the team over to Dak (assuming he keeps this up).

I mean, dak played great last night no doubt.

He played not great in his first game imo. 45 passes for like 160?

He played good in his second game.

He also hasn't played against an average defense yet.

He has also had some run good and had a lot of high throws over the middle tipped to nobody on multiple occasions. Let's just let it play out and enjoy that he isn't a complete bust but temper expectations.

It's how he's doing in that immediately passes the eyeball test. How calm he is in the pocket even when being blitzed is impressive. And even though he's listed at 6'2, he just seems so tall in the pocket, I guess it's that bounce in his step. What rookies have you seen recently that run through their route tree that calmly? I've only seen the good ones do it.

Imho if he had a canon for an arm and an accurate deep ball, his ceiling would be Cam Newton. But he doesn't have that, and it's obvious when he's got to play a vertical game. I do wonder if he's got Vick in his prime type potential, and frankly to bink that in the 4th while Romo's been breaking down is a god send. His football IQ and maturity may give him a much higher ceiling then Vick.

No doubt his intangibles appear to make him way ahead of the average rookie.

I think people just forget about how good Romo is.

La'el Collins out 6-10 weeks apparently... Ugh.

Damn Colins to IR is a shame. At least he'll be back. Still big injury.

If the kid keeps it up you really have no choice. Romo is wearing Wally Pipps jersey right now.

Dak's doing a great job so far, but he's not Kurt Warner. When healthy, Tony Romo needs to be back on the field. This year and probably next too while we're at it.

What Dak gives is you a little more flexibility. Maybe instead of having to rush Romo back two weeks earlier than you should, you can back off a bit and maybe have him as an emergency reserve for a while. And obviously next draft you probably don't have to go chasing a Paxton Lynch.

These comments I'm seeing around the web asking if Romo has thrown his last pass or whatever are clickbait. The Drew Bledsoe situation was completely different.

I also think they're 3-0 with a healthy Romo. Those 1st three games weren't ****. Giving Dak his due here for sure very happy but no question for me at all that a healthy Romo gives them the best chance to win. The question for me is when Romo is actually healthy vs when they bring him back. Dak's going to throw picks and make mistakes too.

Dez hairline fracture

He's more injury prone than Romo

I pretty much agree with you on that Minirra. Though the opponents have been weak (and the bears are likely LOLbad, we'll see when they play JAX), it's very encouraging to see Dak improve each game, especially vs CHI without Tyron, Dez fighting injury, and Collins may have gotten hurt during the game too? These next 4 games are the real test for our entire team and the opportunity to see if Dak is truly legit.

Biggest piece of encouragement for me: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/09/nfl-...cowboys-eagles

Aside from the silly QB v QB division debate, the analysis that only 40% of Dak's completions are first read passes is super encouraging for his future.

Claiborne had a great game which sadly is almost certainly a function of his contract year rather than a sudden 4th year leap

He's had a great season*. I think it's part contract year, part switching sides, and part being healthy

Ya I'll take it one way or the other.

I'm starting to think the other position I'd be fine with them spending a top 2 round pick on next year is WR. Dez is starting to look less and less like a guy you wanna build an O around. I think we need a good young body there real soon. Probably not as urgent as DT/LB, but man soon. And this draft has some good ones.

So we can't afford another O-line injury, that's for sure. Also we get Lawrence back

WRs are like corners. Pretty high impact/high price position, that you can draft anytime, any round. You always need at least one more good one than you currently have. And in the rare case you were actually set, chances are one of them is leaving in FA the next season. Just a numbers game there.

I think there's a high chance the Cowboys re-sign TWill, but at the same time I don't think they're crazy about it. Who's challenging him? Brice Butler and Lucky Whitehead? Twill's actually the most recent WR they've drafted that's still with the team, Devin Street being the only since and he's gone.

They won't break the bank for him though. If some other team has to have him that will make it a pretty easy decision. They'll find some discount WR out there while they re-sign Frederick and whoever else they have to keep, then probably spend a pick after that too.

Either way I don't see them doing anything dumb, he's not that good and they know it. Nor do I see some big splash WR move next year with other obligations in front of them.

There's no way Romo gets his job back. No way.

How did we bink this guy? Man luckboxing HARD with that pick. What a miracle.

Yeah, he just got Pipp'd big time. Cincy is supposed to be legit/respectable and they're getting clowned despite us not having Dez/Tyron. The O line is dominating too

I just don't get how he can be so calm as a rook. It's absurd. His composure is like he's been playing 6-7 years.

Yeah. It's a level of patience/poise you just never see with hardly anybody but the top end QBs. Truly special to watch.

I've said it 3 times already, but all I want in the world is for them to draft 5 bodies to the D next year. Man if they do it's going to be lights out next year and maybe for a long while after that.
