Hey everyone,

I'm going to be on an Internet radio show/podcast, discussing the Cleveland Indians and baseball in general. Details here.

Quote:
My time starts at about 9:15 PM EST, and we'll be discussing various topics about the Indians and baseball in general. Adam (the host) and I will be taking calls, so please feel free to call in at (646) 716-8012.
You can call and troll me, if you like.

LaPorta, Valbuena, and Barfield are all getting called up before tomorrow's game (in place of Crowe, T-Graf, and Smith). I guess I'm okay with LaPorta getting called up, but why Valbuena? It seems dumb to call him up if he's not going to start, though maybe Wedge will give him 3-4 starts a week.

Calling up Valbuena seems ******ed from a service time standpoint.

Adam Everett? Seriously? Thank God Raburn just screwed that one up. Comeback time imo.

EDIT: Is Choo hurt? I don't have the game on TV because it's blacked out, but Choo is listed as the LF and Francisco as the RF, which is opposite of the normal alignment.

What is wrong with this bullpen? We all know relievers can be inconsistent from year to year, but this is ridiculous. With the talent we have, there's no reason for all of them to be this bad.

so in 2011, when Matt LaPorta hits 42 homeruns with 113 rbi's, i'll always remember on his first major league at-bat, he DIDN'T EVEN SWING THE BAT.

lol...swing the bat, son.

Not a good day for Laporta and Valbuena to debut. Verlander looks unhittable.

At least Lee apparently fixed whatever was wrong with him.

Pretty standard for this season...we get two on, DeRosa crushes a fastball, and it's just barely catchable. I know we're playing pretty terrible baseball, but it's disgusting how bad we're running, too.

Might wanna tell LaPorta to pull his helmet up just a tad so he can see the ball when he's batting.

Det/KC/Chi/Min are all solid teams. I don't see why you have this opinion.

If you think this division is terrible...and your by far in last place...what do you think of your team?

What are you, joking? Have you seen the lineup that they run out there in Kansas City and Minnesota? How can you call those "solid" teams?

Solid as in teams that will be around the .500 mark.

All four of them teams have played "solid" thus far and deserve to be considered "solid" until proven otherwise.

The only team who I'd say looks like garbage so far is the Tribe. Just sayin.

Just ignore the troll. If he thinks KC, Chicago, and Minnesota are "solid," he's obviously as clueless about baseball as he is about football. Yeah, we've looked terrible so far, but we've also run bad and have the most talent in the division.

Why do people seem to think the Royals aren't awful? Their offense is pathetic, and Sidney friggin' Ponson is in their rotation.

No they don't. You mean to tell me I need to give Tony Pena Jr. and Willie Bloomquist a "solid" rating until proven otherwise? You really must be an idiot.

The Indians look bad but it's a 20 game sample. If you didn't notice, the season is 162 games long and the pitching depth of the Tigers is orders of magnitude worse than any other team besides possibly the Royals. Do you think we just leave Reyes in there to get shelled all year and put up a 10.00 ERA? That's what we have Huff and Rondon for. The Tigers have nothing on the back burner besides Porcello, who is already starting.

Alexi Casilla bats #2 for the Twins. GMAFB.

The reason everyone loves you in this forum is because you have no concept of the long run. Everything lives and dies by what happened in the past twelve hours. You're the guy that wins $200 in one day at the casino and tell everyone you can make $60,000 a year playing poker.

Kyle, have you seen any mechanical problems with Raffy Perez? I just find it hard to believe that he's not hurt and/or making some major error in his delivery.

Haven't been watching many Indians' games. Too painful. When Shapiro calls up players that are MLB-quality, I'll probably watch more. Personally I'm sick of watching Beane and Shapiro-led teams that have AAA-AAAA type players in the field while prospects are "proving" themselves in AA-AAA, however correct of a business and baseball decision this may be.

I'll be discussing Huff's mechanics on that Indians' radio show tonight if you're interested in tuning in.
