Cavs are 15-5 and whipped the Bucs, Suns and Bulls the past 3 games and yet this thread hasn't been bumped in nearly 3 weeks and is below the Indians and Browns threads. Posing the question: Is Cleveland just not a basketball town- or do we just revel in misery at this point?

theres not too many cavs fans ithatt. just me and shwallie pops up sporadically.

consensus in that thread is that the cavs are a clear step below the contenders. about on the same level as the spurs and hawks and likely worse than the nuggets. shaq clogs the lane, z is washed up, parker and moon suck. they even think mo sucks. lebron is leaving as soon as he can. mike brown is one of the worst coaches in the league. etc.

so pretty much, same as its been the last 3 years on here.

I'm slowly but surely getting pretty damn excited for the season. They just need to keep mowing down these easy opponents and proving their worth like they did all last season to get me right back on the Champ bandwagon.

Of course I was extremely high on them last year and the ****ing Magic...

Leon Powe can start practicing after this west coast swing.

If we go for Antawn, where does Powe fit in? Antawn will take all of JJ's minutes and cut into Varejao's I assume, but Powe too? We are too loaded.

If we are trading for Jamison we have to swap out 11 mil in contracts so at least 1 player won't be on our team.

Straight up trade that works
Z for Antwan- (also adding in Darnell Jackson would work) would open up 22 mins a game for our big men- get AV more mins at C.

On the other side the Cavs could try to make room at their SG position and go with a BIG freaking starting lineup of

Mo
LBJ
Antawn
JJ/AV
Shaq

But I don't see how they make a trade that works like that.

One final random idea

Shaq for Jamison + Haywood works.

What about Z for Kevin Martin, I think he'd look great next to Lebron.

One NBA executive said the Washington Wizards continue to listen to offers for forwards Caron Butler(notes) and Antawn Jamison(notes). The source said that the Cleveland Cavaliers are willing to give up center Zydrunas Ilgauskas(notes), but Washington doesn’t appear interested in that deal. If the Wizards eventually have the opportunity to void Gilbert Arenas’(notes) $111 million contract and Butler and/or Jamison are moved for expiring deals, the Wizards could start from scratch with plenty of cap room in the heralded 2010 free-agent market.

'Warriors' intro to this game might've been the awesomest thing i've ever seen.

LOL.

Z with the wig, 'bron...and of course Shaq breaking it off at the end. this team is so fun.

seriously?

how could it not be?

that said, who gave mike brown the juice to just randomly sit the King?

i get it, but saturday night games are fun, as i can get belligerent drunk and yell when his chest gets above the rim on an alleyoop.

combine that with the lolunc duke game, and WEC has ruled the night.

back to the jamison trade....seriously? how could it not be? that said, he's sick with the weirdo shot attempts. and should probably work on shooting free throws.

he's staying....long enough to win a title this june.

after that, it's whatever.

i can already hear the post-championship interview: 'sooo, you won a title, who cares how you feel right now, are you staying??!!?'

if there happens to be a game 7 in the finals, my brother and i have our tickets already.

$200 each for nosebleeds. guy that my brother works with already knows he leaves for vacation and can't make game 6 or 7. we already gave a small down payment that gets returned if/when cleveland sweeps the lolakers.

but yeah...cavs are 3rd on the cleveland sports list for me, but to be there...

will do.

though you'd probably have to pay for mine, too.

though now that i'm thinking of it, $400 to be there if/when the curse breaks, i don't think i'd even blink.
