Re: Cleveland Browns

well as long as they just totally forget about cribbs, definitely.

he's def got a ways to go, but he's a cold-blooded KILLER out there who can cover. once his awareness rating in madden gets into the 90's, he could start to remind people of sean taylor. (maybe? been thinking about it and i think that's the comparison)

at least gives us something to watch every week between him and haden. fujita will make a play or two, but the no-name lb's play decent but are borrring, and once they ship shawn rogers to the jets, the dl will be the same way.

just keep drafting defense pls. get another top 10 pick and go lb or dt. develop colt and the wr's, hope to steal an rb late...wait, how the **** am i already talking about 2015 one game into the 2010 season???

haha. life as a browns fan.

but yeah, ward is a dog.

Re: Cleveland Browns

alright look, still a whole quarter left, and they're probably still gonna lose, but..

i like this team.

physically taking it TO the ravens.

still a pretty good chance at being 0-3 in 30 minutes, but physically, they are looking more and more like a hard-hitting, rush-first, **** your face kind of team.

love it.

Re: Cleveland Browns

last post of the night, and i just wanted to re-iterate the above: this team is physical. first time that i can remember them being more physical than the ravens.

hillis running downhill, TJ murdering fools (and dropping sure pick-6's), o-line crushing (even ngata whenever i watched)...i like it.

in the end, it's 0-3.

but if there's ever been a 'good' 0-3, this is it.

lolbrownsfans.

I missed the game today. Colt seems to have put up some decent numbers given the circumstances. He showing promise for the future?

Considering the fact that he was going into a game where most people were expecting him to come out dead and he didn't even look the slightest bit flustered.....yah I think he's got some promise. Several rookie mistakes, but everything that he did wrong was stuff that can be worked on. He actually looked comfortable.

Good to hear. My biggest concern about him is injuries. He seemed to be frail in college and constantly hurt. 5 sacks against NFL players is going to take its toll. I don't care if he makes mistakes, as long as he gets experience and can learn, he'll be a huge positive. He always comes across as pretty calm and collected, so hopefully he can develop into a winner.

As bad as the record is for this years team, they have shown a lot of promise and with a few key additions, they could really become a decent team. Hopefully they can keep enough talent around to let that play out. Holmgren should be able to get the job done.

Re: Cleveland Browns

he still may get injured, but he sure stood tall yesterday.

though i could probably name 5 guys i thought were 'the one' since '99 after a game or two..

also, the browns already ARE a decent team. defense is good and out to kill people on a weekly basis. decent offensive line (good line when JT decides to not look like a doofus), and top 3-4 special teams (punter is SICK with dropping it inside the 5, good kick coverage, cribbs, etc.).

thing is, they have no playmakers. like, at all. not a pass rusher or a threat to go 70 yards among them.

it'll come though.

they've had leads in the 4th quarter in 5/6 games and the 6th game they were starting their 3rd string rookie qb at a top 5 defense and your main rival.

all doesn't matter, as in the end they're 1-5, but this is the way a team is built. seems like teams that are built/run in this manner always jump out at people the next year...we'll see.

Re: Cleveland Browns

Thanks to Colt McCoy, the Browns are on in Austin. What a game so far. Even if they lose every week, they are getting a lot more exciting to watch, look like they really are just a step away from getting to that next level. Colt looks very calm. What cool trick plays with the punt return pass and fake punt. I don't think I've ever seen a punter make it that far down the field.

Re: Cleveland Browns

they ARE just a step (or a playmaker or two) away from the next level.

extremely satisfying game to watch today. rob ryan is a G, and the team plays HARD. that's how every game has been this year, they are literally a couple plays away from 5-2. i know that's the fan in me talking, but 2-5 is literally the bottom of what their record 'should' be at this point.

looove this team. especially loooove the defense and rob ryan's crazy 0 down/7 blitz packages..

Yeah, this really seems like the most fun 2-5 team to root for. Hillis going nuts on the sideline after getting that first down. These guys are just pumped up and ready to play. Take down the defending Super Bowl Champs.

Splitting 2-2 out of the AFC East games, win the 2 NFC games left, and we have 3 games left being 6-7, all winnable games. I'm hoping for 8-8, but even 7-9 would be really cool for this team. 10 wins minimum next season.

Re: Cleveland Browns

see that's why i'm scared...next year, when it's actually time to perhaps (dare i say??!?) do well, they'll definitely run bad.

*sigh*

easy rooting for a team with no expectations. but when there's hope..
