Contreras and cash traded to Rockies for Triple-A right-hander Brandon Hynick. Hynick is 10-9 with a 3.83 ERA and two complete games in 26 starts this season with Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Well considering the economic climate that has a lot of teams having problems, cws attendance is down 10% and these are last minute panicked salary dumps while still have some chance at the playoffs it is a fair question imo.

Things to be excited about--starting pitching, pretty sick front four with Buhrls, Peavy, Danks and Floyd. Infield is solid as well with Teahan, A-Ram, Becks and Konerko. I am also excited about the addition of Putz.

Things to be not so excited about--The signing on Andruw Jones, Omar Vizquel and Juan Pierre, who all once upon a time would have been worth getting excited about, but not so much anymore. Maybe Pierre will put together a season but I cannot see those other two doing jack.

We all know the projections by now, 79 wins, finishing tied for second behind the Twins. I personally think they should finish over .500 and they have a good chance of getting to the post season.

I am really curious to see the batting order this year. Where do you put becks? Alexi 2nd?
