Would be really cool to have a WS in Chicago, but Ill take a playoff appearance in the next few years as progress. Some life back in the cross town would be awesome too

I'm really happy they are finally nuking this tire fire. Hopefully they won't screw it up. But anything is better than the mediocre "add a piece" strategy that clearly doesn't work. Been saying it forever. Blow it up and rebuild. They still have plenty of pieces to move too.

They can even dust off "the kids can play!" advertising

Opening Day almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always love the beginning of the season and am very interested in seeing how this plays out. I'm just happy I don't have to be overly optimistic the is year We all know they will suck.

But I really hope they aren't done and can score some more top notch prospects for Frazier, Quintana, Robertson etc. I kinda think/hope (?) they will keep Abreu but as far as I am concerned anybody is expendable. I want so many top young players it will be silly. I want to suck for a year or two and be dominant for a decade. I am just happy they are going full rebuild and discarding the ridiculous "add a piece" strategy that has been a disaster.

I would very much enjoy watching Abreu mash for half a season then get dumped at the deadline for something nice. Sort of a best of both worlds approach. Were going to be so bad though! lol

Well things off to a slow start. Was hoping Quintana could look good for trade purposes. Would really suck if he falls off of a cliff after 5 solid years of consistency making people leery of pulling the trigger. We need hot starts all around so we can unload these guys!

I don't like Anderson. He has some pop and speed but he looks bad at the plate and swings at everything. I read somewhere that Trevor May could be the worst starting player in baseball.

The pitching has been remarkably good especially since Quintana has sucked. The bullpen extra impressive. I hope the front office doesn't get delusions of grandeur though. They still need to move some guys.

Avy Garcia finally being who we thought he was? Lost weight, waiting on pitches, not swinging at curveballs in the dirt. If he is finally breaking out I hope they keep him. Abreu too even though he is off to a slow start again. But those are the 2 guys I hope they build around. Everyone else can go

May sucks real bad and needs to be in the minors or insurance sales or something. Leury Garcia looking good and should never sit for May. Anderson still does not impress me at all. Frazier is just a low average power hitter either very good or mostly very bad but he does field well. He can go with Quintana, Melky and Robertson for prize prospects. But they will probably wait for the trade deadline now that they didn't start 0 for April.

Have enjoyed watching them so far but really looking forward to when of the hot young ones get brought up.

You guys don't play the tigers everyday though.

Looks like they got some value in Eloy for Quintana. I hope Robertson goes soon too. This could be a helluva team in a few years if the pitching pans out. Problem is pitching almost never pans out but they seem to love what they have waiting in the wings. Fingers crossed!

eh oh well. Eloy looks like ****. Cesar is garbage. Kimbrel is garbage. Our trade deadline moves looked so good and we were all excited for Eloy to return, but these things seemed to have shot us in the foot.
