If Garcia lives up to the hype and potential of a year or two ago
If the bullpen doesn't suck (I think it's very solid!)

If all of that **** happens I think we have a chance!

LET'S GO WHITE SOX!
Yup, I wont be negative nancy and give my opinion, because on Opening day EVERYONE CAN WIN

So far so good! 3 outta 4 aint bad and especially on the west coast where we generally go to die.

The pitching, both rotation and pen look great so far. A's aren't the toughest lineup though. The offense still looks like crap. Was nice to see them bust out a little in the 9th today but would be good to get a little more consistency earlier in games. Eaton and Abreau look great and everybody else looks problematic.

Frazier and Lawrie both look bad and over aggressive. Hopefully that will turn around a little as this lineup needs some spark beside Eaton and Jose. Every other hitter looks average at best. No LaRoache, Beckham, Flowers etc. has to be a major positive in the long run though.

Looks like it will be cold and crappy for the home opener.

Geez, I can't believe how many people are out there in this weather. Less than an hour ago it was a mini blizzard. Lets keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!

The new announcer isn't too bad. He has that nice deep announcerish voice. Although I got a little confused as this game had no cans of corn, chopper two hoppers, not a single batter juuuuuust missed it and there was never good speed aboard. And not a single mention of Luis Tiant, Frank Howard, Ted Williams or Yaz?

Yeah except for opening day Hawk will do only road games and the new kid will do all home games.

Well, a month in and we have our best start ever. That's pretty good This has even exceeded my hopeful optimism. I think they already came back from behind more than all of last year. The defense and base running has improved significantly.

The bats are finally warming up and the pitching has been incredible. But Danks is a problem and Latos is starting to turn into a pumpkin. The bullpen is rock solid. But we need another starter. Sale/Quintana is a fine 1/2 and Rodon/Latos is okay for 4/5 but we need a 3. I figured another bat would be the biggest need but now I think it's a usable starter.

This has been a tough, break free schedule too. I see no reason that this isn't a playoff team. My dream is to beat the ****ing Cubs in the world series

Id be okay with that dream. I dont really buy that we can uphold every pitching lights out though, but Id be okay with playoffs

I should stop being a downer though. 2012 still hurts my soul though

Danks designated for assignment. This is as good of news as LaRoache retiring!

Whoever fills the 5th starter spot can't be worse. I'd like to see them spend some of that LaRoache money on somebody real.

Welp! Last half of May certainly sucked. Nice to see them finally break the downward momentum yesterday coming back from a 4-0 deficit.

Hopefully they can get things together from here. If someone woulda told me before the season we would be 2 games out at the end of May I would have thought that to be great. But the way they got here doesn't feel so great after the last 2 weeks.

The pen needs back on track, they need another starter (Shields rumors?) and they need to score more often. The offense seems to be coming around a little despite the shutout on Monday, lets hope so.

I'm back in that mode of turning them off every time they get behind and that's not where I want to be.

They have pretty much been dead to me since late May but I really wanna sweep the ####ing Cubs. Beating Arietta is a good start

Hopefully they can get rid of douchebag Sale for something real good but his childhood antics probably just greatly lowered his trade value.

Did the Cubs wining the WS prompt the White Sox to do something smart?

Eh, well see. We still need like coaching, leadership, development, commentating, attendance...etc etc

Nice to see them FINALLY blowing it up though.

Also your avatar and location always make me sad

12/6/16 Yoan Moncada........2020 ship the division!

In all seriousness, we haven't had much to be happy about for a while now. At least these two moves (and with further moves to happen) there may well be something to look forward to. I'm completely fine if the Sox lose 100 games next two seasons if it means doing this right. They have a lot of young arms now, it would be nice to see some more position players come in.

The real question though is how coaching affects the situation. We need to develop them, not just sign them
