5 IP, 1 run for the pen today. That's one positive sign. Unfortunately, we're really going to struggle to score many runs. You look at the lineup we had out there today and there isn't one guy in it who scares you. Then we act like we want to be aggressive on the bases. Problem there is we don't have any speed to do so.

1-4 at home to start. so much for the fast start.

it would be wise for cubs fans to stop paying attention to the W/L record and start paying attention to the individual success of the young players. consider this year a long tryout for 2013. the cubs have all but come out and said this is a rebuilding year and they're not expecting to win.

and expect to say bye bye to marmol and byrd. (and hopefully, soriano)

your sarcasm-o-meter is broke.

obv they project better in 2014 cuz theo will turnover the majority of the roster in two years. but i think a couple of solid moves and a year of experience for the young guys could have them competing in the division next year. theo hasn't even touched the free agent market yet.
