Raja Bell is off the table. Bulls are still looking at Brewer, and are now interested in Anthony Tolliver. The Magic are still expected to match Redicks offer sheet at the deadline Saturday afternoon. Scottie Pippen was hired as a team ambassador, I guess as a retort to Dwyane Wade. Apparently DRose is extremely confident in his new jump shot as well, so definitely good news there.

Omer Asik is on a frontloaded 3yr/4mil deal, and assuming Redick is matched, the bulls have $11.8 mil cap space.

Redick matched by Orlando, Bulls sign Ronnie Brewer to 3yr/$12.5 mil deal. That leaves them with ~$8 mil in cap space and a roster of:

PG: Derrick Rose, (still need a guy here)
SG: Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver
SF: Luol Deng, James Johnson
PF: Carlos Boozer, Taj Gibson
C: Joakim Noah, Omer Asik

Well probably see the signing of a backup PG, perhaps Keyon Dooling, a backup C, perhaps the resigning of Brad Miller, and then a few min salary roster fillers so we have some money next year.

Bulls get CJ Watson from GSW for 2nd round pick. I've heard three year deal worth $10.2 mil and two years worth $6.5 mil, third year not guaranteed. In any case, good backup PG pickup.

The first comment I read (1 of 2) sums it up well

Quote:
Miami, Boston and Orlando are all good bets to win mid to upper 50's nd Atlanta is a virtual lock for 50 wins and you have Chuicago as the #1...

the Bulls, who swapped out Brad Miller, Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas, John Salmons (and a littany of other contributors that were in and out) for Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer and CJ Watson? Which is essentially to say, they got Boozer and bunch of garbage tht was far worse and less valuable than what they lost or gave up.

That gets them 20 extra wins this year?
Not that I totally agree, but picking them first is a little out there.

Their reasoning for Chicago getting the 1 seed was that Cleveland, the only other threat in the division had been seriously weakened and the Bulls now have no competition. They are right, just not to the extent they think they are. Bulls get the 3 seed at best imo.

Haha, did he name it Noah's Spark or Luol Dank?

In IWANNATALKABOUTDABULLS news, T-Mac is still saying Lakers Clippers Bulls Heat on Twitter, but he's working out for the bulls today, and it's apparently between the bulls and heat at this point. Another peak season one time?
