Well it's hard to cover a beastly offense everywhere w/out your best CB. D did a nice job.
Pretty typical mediocre game from offense vs an aids defense. Would've been hilarious to settle for a 55yd FG but we'll never know thanks to FJax beast mode.

Ya know how we always complain about the Bills never bottoming out? I'm no hockey expert but apparently the Sabres are in a great spot right now wrt young talent and draft picks. Supposed to be a serious cup contender by like '17.

Pegula came in, let the idiots running the asylum spend whatever on whomever they wanted. When that failed he got guys with a plan. They're trying to build a winning team the right way, through the draft, and it should be exciting in a few years. Sure they could have kept Miller, Vanek, Pomminville ect and then had nothing when they left but that would have been really, really dumb.

the plan to tank was so obvious, the rest of the league quickly voted to change the draft lottery percentages just so sabres aren't overwhelming favorites for connor mchockey.

What were the Sabres supposed to do? Hold onto their aging stars, finish 9th, miss the playoffs and have no way to rebuild. It was a great plan and the rest of the league can **** off with that BS.

no, but that just sets up the bills for 2-3 years of even more epic suckage. plus the strategy might just not work as well in football. GM-ing in the nfl is harder because teams rely on more rookies every year, picks are harder to accumulate, etc. also, there are fewer top draftees in the nfl draft that can truly turn a team around, like connor mcdavid could for the sabres.

I don't think he's going to come in and advocate for tanking, the Sabres didn't tank, they just acquired assets for the future which made them worse in the short term.
