They're going to lose some games. Maybe a lot of games.
But they're going to be exciting to watch because they've got a lot of good, young players and a potentially great coaching staff.
If the front 7 can get some decent pressure on the QB this year, it might mask how bad the corners are. But don't count on it.
This team has the potential to go 2-14 or surprise everyone and go 11-5 like the Dolphins a few years ago.

This is going to be a good year for the Bills, from the standpoint that they will be improving. Yes, a lot of mistakes will be made. I see loads of penalties being committed. But give it another year where they can address their secondary and OL, and I really believe the Bills will be a playoff team again soon enough.

Agree w/ the long-term optimism but it all really hinges on EJ. The non-QB roster when healthy is at least as good as a lot of payoff teams imo. But they're not so good where they can overcome mediocre/bad QB play like the Texans, '11 49ers, or '10 Jets & they probably won't be next year either.

How would Bills fans feel about trading for Tebow?

I think they could get him, and NE would take for him, a 5th-7th round pick next year, and it would instantly rejuvenate and legitimize the Bills

No real surprises with the cuts, except maybe Butler. Leinart gone. Brad Smith, Kolb on IR.

Bills have exactly 3 RBs and 0 FBs on their roster.

Clausen is prob the biggest waste in recent years.

I remember in 07' I think he was the #1 QB out of HS. Then went to ND and was supposed to be like a top 10 pick.

He went to waste, completely forgot about him. I dont even think he ever got a chance as a starter.

He did and he was awful. He started 10 games in 2010 for the Panthers in a season where they were not only the worst offense in the NFL but historically one of the worst offenses of all time. The very next year a new rookie QB with essentially the same roster turned the Panthers into the #4 offense in yards/play behind only the Saints, Packers, and Patriots.

In 2010 the Panthers had only 2289 passing yards and were more than 600 yards behind the #31 team. Clausen went 1-9 as a starter with stats of 52.5% for 1558 yards with 3 TD's and 9 INT's and an ANY/A of 2.98. He also had 9 fumbles and got sacked 9.9% of the time.

Does anyone get excited/animated watching these games anymore? It's like if I can't even cheer a sack of Brady on 3rd&goal with a 4pt lead (because I know we're going to lose anyway) then maybe I shouldn't bother with football.

Extermely frustrating game should have beat a very very average pats team. I know its the first game but cant win with that offensives playcalling just awful hackett needs to adjust real fast. Same shotgun run everytime for cj. Liked how ej and mckelvin played well who I dislike.

Yeah, Leodis actually looked like a real DB yesterday. EJ played well...defense played well...it did seem like the offense didn't adjust, but then FJAx came in and moved the ball...so maybe it was CJ.

That was a horrible sequence, I agree. But give them a little time, Dude. they're figuring out what they can do. Hackett adjusted well at half-time and the defense played damn well.

Plus, you know, they won.

Yes that was unexpected.

In my experience though coaching ******edness is not the sort of thing that improves with age/experience.
Of course most coaches in the league are ******ed & it's much less of a problem if we have a QB finally (crossing fingers). Just saying', I'm giving up hope for this staff being smart.

Pretty sure I never claimed to be able to motivate 53 dudes, deal w/ the media, or know X's&O's well enough to run practices and study film, or 90% of the other coaching aspects that have nothing to do with managing game situations I'm talking about.
