ESPN Boston just ranked the top 10 Celtics of the last decade. I could have guessed 50 different guys before I guessed #10 and #9

I would like to announce that the Tony Allen fanclub is taking applications. I am president. Tbach and Bobbo are co-vice presidents. Kidcolin is not allowed to join.

Would any of these guys except Pierce, make the all-time Celtics list? Probably not.

offhand...

B Russell
J Havlicek (stole the ball!!)
L Bird
B Cousy
S Jones
K McHale
D Johnson
JoJo White
P Pierce
K Garnett (OK)

PS Maybe Heinsohn should be in there, taking Garnett's place, since he played so long.

cowens would prob make the all time celtic list. just searching bref for Cs as sorted by WS, it's a pretty sick list:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/...l=&order_by=ws

its...
bill russell #1 (i think this one is automatic)
larry bird #2 (i think this one is automatic too)
havlicek
parish
mchale
pierce (very deserving #6)
sam jones
bob cousy
dave cowens 9
bill sharman (shouldnt count bc 1952 like wtf heh)

seems good. after them it's don nelson, cedric maxwell (maybe points for doing radio), tommy heinsohn (celtic through and through + coaching + tv!)

Don Nelson is famous for one luckbox shot, other than that just a complimentary type player, so i don't know why they would stick him in there, maybe his coaching career but that doesn't make sense because he never coached here.

just saw the celts are up 71-35 at halftime. i wish i were watching this. brook lopez has a +/- of -39 and he's been their best player.

Rondo was amazing today except for the last 5 minutes. The coaches have to make him shoot when the defense sags off. Even though he is not a good shooter, it's still a better shot than what they are ending up with.

it's still a "culture" with this team to let PP control the final possessions. Problem is, ROndo is dominant when he's doing his thing wreaking havoc. Also, as Bobbo pointed out in zilla, Artest is the Lakers best defender, Fisher is by far the worst. You have to attack the weak link. Have to.

agree w/ the bird. im not that upset at today's game tho; lakers are at full strength, kg is not. we ran a bit bad to lose.

i hated on ray in TZ, but he played outstanding defense. TA played better defense obv, but ray was a huge reason kobe had such an awful night.

kg's defense on bynum was worrisome. 2 in your face dunks. not a whole lot of forcing him outside. perk was solid, if a little unspectacular. we still run too much offense into him, but the pnr w/ rondo is just so nice - rondo sets the table great.

pierce 1on1 against MOST is a fine option. i do NOT mind pierce hero mode. against the lakers tho, esp with rondo tearing it up, do not want.

Seeing KG on the bench in the 2nd half with an ice pack wrap the size of an elephant on his bad knee has me very concerned.

And as I said above, their offense down the stretch is atrocious. KG stands just above the foul lane. They move the ball around the perimeter with no one getting open except Rondo who they leave wide open for 12 footers that he keeps passing up. He did take the one longer one on the baseline, where I think he is a worse shooter than when he is in front of the basket. Someone else then ends up taking a forced 20 footer with a guy in his face as the clock runs down. Rondo has to start pumping those open jumpers and if he misses he misses, but I think they will eventually start dropping, he is too good an athlete. He just needs to get some confidence taking that shot.
