Its tough, I got some powerful voodoo jinx yogic magic stuff but I'm trying to win an NBA Championship and after what I did for jd drew and the Red Sox I don't want to press it with the B's when just the playoffs is really the goal for them.

Well BB got the win back to back vs Leafs. AND Caps losing right now 3-2 in 3rd. Buffalo is losing as well. So holding on to 8th win some injury issues, Savard out and Chuck K too.

Gogogogogo Tampa Bay Lightning!

edwards and brickley are so terrible. they complain about every check that goes against the bruins and how it should be a major penalty and a misconduct.

God bless those bruins, nice performance this game.

I can't even take a guess at how you dress 12 forwards when Savy-Bergy-Kobasew all come back. I like Metro, but I don't think there's a roster spot left for him if all 3 of those guys make full recoveries (which they should).

Actually if FLA can hold on to 3-2 lead, all we need is one point and were in the PLAYOFFS biatches oh mano mano.

Kessel! bang. This is awesome. Fla I'm watching that game too, they are getting outshot 45-17, frankly they look ******ed, but holding on if they win we in.

Florida beat Carolina 4-3. Just need a point now.

As an aside, Panthers had 9 penalties tonight and the Hurricanes had none; don't the refs do a make-up call somewhere in there?

We got it! Playoff hockey. Very inspirational, great team, overcame adversity, hung in there and got it done.

So, playoff scenarios. First, standings:

1. Pitt, 102 pts, 47 wins, 1 game left
2. Montreal, 102 pts, 46 wins, 1 game left
t3. Carolina, 92 pts, 43 wins, 0 games left
4. New Jersey, 97 pts, 45 wins, 1 game left
5. New York R, 96 pts, 42 wins, 1 game left
6. Ottawa, 94 pts, 43 wins, 0 games left
7. Boston, 94 pts, 41 wins, 1 game left
8. Phil., 93 pts, 41 wins, 1 game left
-----
t3. Washington, 92 pts, 42 wins, 1 game left

Second, tiebreaker rules:

Quote:
In the event teams are tied in the standings, the following tiebreakers are applied to determine which team receives the higher seeding.

1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. The greater number of games won.
3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. Goal differential
First things first: What Washington does is irrelevant to the B's -- if Wash. gets at least 1 pt, then they're in and are the 3 seed; if they lose and don't get a pt., Carolina is in and is the 3 seed.

Bruins Scenarios:
- Bruins win, Rangers lose, doesn't matter what else happens: Bruins are the 5th seed
- Bruins win, Rangers win, doesn't matter what else happens: Bruins are 6th seed
- Bruins lose in OT/shootout, Flyers win: Bruins are 7th seed
- Bruins lose, Flyers lose in OT/shootout: Bruins are 7th seed
- Bruins lose, Flyers lose: Bruins are 7th seed
- Bruins lose, Flyers win: Bruins are 8th seed

As an FYI, in this scenario:

"Bruins win, Rangers lose, doesn't matter what else happens: Bruins are the 5th seed"

...Bruins and Rangers both have 42 wins to finish the season, so the next rung down on the tiebreaker hierarchy is the greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs, which is advantage --> Bruins, because they won the head to head series against NYR this year.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Incredible, incredible game. Far and away the best game of their season, perhaps the best game of the playoffs across the NHL -- maybe the best Bruins game in 5+ years. Just awesome.

Any chance Cam Neely will lace 'em up tonight? Because without him, I can't imagine the Boston Bruins winning a Game 7 in Montreal.

I really haven't followed the Bruins ever, but the game was on at the bar I was at and I must say, they played with a lot of intensity.

I was a huge Bruins fan growing up and (predictably) drifted away from them after the lockout and years of sucking. That being said, I jumped back on the bandwagon (if you can really call it a 'wagon') during the stretch run and have followed this series pretty closely.

I'm cautiously optimistic about game 7, the Bs have outplayed the Habs for extended stretches throughout the series. I think they can win in Montreal if they can stay focused and avoid turning the puck over in their own end.

Either way, they've exceeded expectations, considering how horribly they fared against Montreal in the regular season.
