yeah i def thought for sure they'd call headley's hit down the first base line a fair ball. seriously the biggest break o's have gotten all season.

watched all 3 games. sunday's was painful after we got gifted a 4run lead in the first. i think we had 2 hits after the first. so many plays in the series that only the 2010 orioles could do. that botched rundown on saturday was just terrible. we fail on fundamentals so hard.

on sunday - down 3 in the 7th and izturis sac bunted. maybe the dumbest play ive ever seen. you have 9 outs left and you give up 1 out to get a guy into scoring position when you are down 3 runs......really. in what universe does that make any sense?

he has no clue hitting right handed thats for sure. he had some good swings left handed this weekend. really nice stroke for the 3run double in the first on sunday. ditch the switch hitting. he definitely has some skill at the plate, dont give up on him yet. i think catching takes a big toll. how mike piazza played for so long with with such great results was really impressive and very underappreciated. i think he gives up at bats, too. meaningless at bats i think he mails it in sometimes.

It's his first real season. He's not going to be a superstar in 1 year. That guy on the braves is probably going to have a **** season next year and I'm going to laugh.

lol, just opened this thread for teh first time in ages to post something similar.

Went to the game last night (Matusz' start). Got 4 comped tickets becasue my mom works with someone that works for the O's so we got the hookup on the all you can eat LF picnic thing (for those that know what that is).

Hit up the food before the game and during the 4th inning. Sat in left center bleachers (?) for the rest of it.

Nothing greater than a bunch of angry fans yelling at opposing team outfielders and telling Adam Jones that you want to marry him.

Can you guise say, 3 game winning streak?

Turned the game on in the top of the seventh. I like it a lot. Looks like Scott is hurt though.

Scott is such a ****nut. who pulls a hammy on their HR trot? what a hillbilly.

they actually looked like a respectable baseball team the last week (not counting 7/1; 7/1 looked like the rest of the year has). decent-good offense, good relief pitching, solid defense.

kind of interested to see how bell does. he will most certainly get a decent look at 3b. hopefully he looks like the future at 3rd. the sherrill trade will have been a huge win.

I am also excited to see how well he does.

As far as them looking respectable, meh. We had some lucky come from behind wins. You can't win all your games giving up 3+ runs and then coming back. That's not how you win. Our starting pitching has been pretty bad.

starting pitching not too good recently. detroit and texas before the break have plenty of offense - could be a rough 7 games.

also the stupid front office has waited too long - no way they move millwood now and wiggington is in a huge slump. way to get max value on these guys.
