Why is Josh Smith allowed to take 3's? The Hawks damn near blew it last night after being up almost 20.

Larry Drew was such a terrible hire, as was locking up a B+ player at best to one of the richest contracts in the league when he has 2 prime years left at best. This team is such yawn. Nothing exciting at all.

Better than last year, but who cares? We're going out in the 1st or 2nd round guaranteed, and this is such a boring team that needs to be blown up and rebuilt. This team is never going anywhwere. Ughhh at signing Joe Johnson to that contract. We have no prayer of ever doing anything because of that. And Larry Drew is a joke

I was just trying to spark conversation (although there clearly aren't enough Hawks fans to do that). I know the team doesn't have much of a shot if they can even get past Orlando.

just ran out of gas. Pretty encouraging playoffs though imo..played well on the road + Teague steppin up.

Here's a question: Do you consider this season a success?

by atlanta standards, yes

by normal ones, no

I would call this season a success for sure, obv the Hawks aren't NBA elite but they are seemingly getting closer.

There are definitely areas that need improvement, but one of those was PG at the start of the season imo, and I really like our PG situation now.

It would be great to have a big man that plays like a big man though, I wonder what it would take to bring Dwight Howard home?

I don't know who's a free agent out of this group, but I wouldn't mind packaging one of Crawford, Hinrich, or Williams along with a couple draft picks and a big man (probably Horford but maybe Smith if the Magic have some cap room) for Dwight.

Right now I feel like they have a bunch of really good complimentary players. If they can land a legit superstar or 2 I think the Hawks could be a top team in the NBA.
