Awesome start last night. Luckily we had Dice-K against us and he's been terrible this year. KK looked real good, allowing only 2 runs against that potent lineup.

I think I read somewhere that KK has an ERA of 3.35 over his last 9 starts.

I think KK has given up 3 ER or less over his last 9 starts.

I can't be too upset with the result of the series. 1-2 so far in this sick stretch.

Let us googogo against the cubs.

Always nice to get a win over the Yankees. Still hate the outcome of the 96 World Series. Nice to see Hanson pitch well

And my no win streak continues.

KK getting knocked out of the game was such bad luck. F-ing Joba. Thought I was going to get to see a double ejection with Girardi and Cox but Bobby gave up just in time. After watching replays I guess it was a good no call.

Going to the game Friday night I think. Hope to break my curse.

At least Bobby Cox can't run Jeff Bennett out there now in crucial situations. Medlen should have stayed in a least one more inning, and then if he allowed some runs then bring in Bennett or someone.

Ugh, what a awful last couple games after the 2 shutouts in a row. Still 2-2 on this homestand so far isnt terrible. Now time for some revenge on Boston.

I'm fing pissed if I'm Javier Vazquez right now. That's what 2 straight or 2 out of 3 starts where he goes 8 innings and gives up 1 run and loses/gets a no decision. JFC our offense is as bad as it can get. Get rid of Francouer and Kelly Johnson already. Not that Kelly had anything to do with today's result, but the 2 of them are dead links on this team. WTF did we ever trade Nick Green btw to keep Giles or put Johnson there? Nick and his twin brother were like everybody's idol that I knew at a summer camp I went to when I was 6-8 years old. Both were cool as hell but Nick was always better at every sport. Pissed we traded him away. Proving his worth way more than Kelly ever will. Weeee we have Kelly Johnson batting like ****, and Nick Green is batting consistently close to 300 and Marcus Giles is basically out of baseball. Smart move Atlanta. Nick was doing just fine in Atlanta and is just fine in Boston. We replaced him with 2 players that both might be out of baseball in the next 2 years. Our management sure can identify pitching, just not offense. Now ditch Francouer already and move on. Hayward era should get going

If Bobby Cox wasn't Bobby Cox there's no possible way he wouldn't of been fired by now. I mean there's just been so many mistakes and inconsistency the last like 3 years jesus.

Posted this in the MLB thread but seems like this incident may have been Escobar's last straw in Atlanta. Look for them to trade him this season or in the offseason.

Even with a below .500 record, I feel optimism when I watch the starting pitchers. I also feel much better about the bullpen than I have in years. Chipper will start hitting again, I don't doubt that. But the Braves need Frenchy and Kelly JOhnson to start hitting now

I like Escobar and he is definitely not the problem, but if someone is willing to give up too much for him like some serious outfield power, and not just for 1 year, then fine.

Frenchy obviously should not be playing.

Both Hanson and Medlen are warming up in the bullpen. Guess it's a literal game time decision.

I'm pretty rational, so I'm not holding my breath over this season. The staff next year is going to be dirty though, and hopefully we pick up ONE or even better TWO batters in the post season.
