So Freddie's been the very best hitter in the NL not named Bryce.

It's pretty awesome to see.

Kolby Allard tonight - 6 IP 3 H 0 BB 11 K

He's 19 years old. In Double-A. He outdueled Michael Kopech - Baseball America #32 prospect.

Not bad.

That's encouraging.

Also worth keeping an eye on is LHP Luiz Gohara. In 5 starts at High-A he's pitching to a 27 K% and 5 BB%.

stadium was pretty sweet - I think the way to go is the chophouse seats.

I had myself a H&F burger and a Hugh Atcheson hot dog.

The only thing I don't like about the chophouse seats is you can't order food from outside a very short list of options.

Ronald Acuna was just promoted to AA at 19 years 4 months old and 28 games in A+. He's the guy people were comparing to Andruw Jones during spring training.

Last 13 games - .352/.410 2 HR 3 3B 2 2B 6 SB

You can watch his debut in Mississippi tonight at 8:00pm on MiLB.TV (~$35? with student discount!). And Allard is getting the start. Oh yea.

Help is on the way boys

Everyone loves Bartolo and stuff...

But if we're not planning on winning this season, I'd just assume call up the kids and let them start

Matt Wisler and Aaron Blair would be the two guys "ready" but they have been full blown AIDs.

Lucas Sims and Sean Newcomb and maybe Patrick Weigel could be ready to get a shot in June or July, and assume some of the veterans will be traded to open up some spots for them.

Think the plan was always for the veterans to be a stopgap until the trade deadline. Them all pitching well and the team contending for a wildcard all year would have been gravy but it wasn't the realistic plan.

I also wonder if the acquisition of Danny Santana means Dansby's on thin ice.

If he's just a Bonifacio replacement, then I can get behind it.

Bench piece and emergency back-up if Dansby is still struggling bigly after another month or two.

if anyone is interested please message me.

i have a single ticket in section 156 for June 10th game vs Mets. this game was originally on 5/4 but got rained out so they rescheduled for 1 pm on June 10th. Section 156 is the chophouse seats behind the right field wall.

Pretty cool that I got upgraded from a thursday night to day game in June, but I doubt I'd be able to use this ticket (wife & kids were out of town for the Thursday - I'd be a dick for going alone on a Saturday). I'd do face value even though prices are higher for saturday.

here's the view:

Freddie Freeman was single-handedly responsible for about 90% of the joy I've taken in this baseball season so far

Freeman getting hurt is a legit national tragedy

For a dude who basically has been hitting on a Ted Williams level for the past 365+ days, honestly it might be better to break your femur or some **** than your wrist

****ing god damn it

For me it's not even what to watch, it's the possibility that he might never get back to the rarefied air he miraculously got to through all that hard work

Especially at home

If only we were still in Turner Field, he could get away with all those flat pitches thru the heart of the zone
