Repeating what I just heard on 98.7 this morning:

The Dbacks are tied for their best home start in franchise history. Last night's attendance was only 600 over the lowest attendance in franchise history.

I'm assuming you're kidding, but do you really think a measurable % of fans look to see who is playing before deciding if they're going to the game that night?

While I got you here, I am currently looking at fangraphs, and it seems to show Pollock with -3 defensive runs saved(the same as Tomas). How is that possible? Or am I just looking at this wrong?

Yes you are reading that correctly. I am guessing you are looking at that because of PEEHS?

I don't know enough about how DRS is calculated, but it is probably very variable with a smaller sample size.

Lol, definitely because of PEEHS. I've watched almost every game so far, and every time I see him make a nice running catch, I think "that's gotta help the DRS". Definitely wasn't expecting to see a negative.

I was expecting/hoping for a solid year from him, so I took him for the DRS, and the WAR too I believe.

Such a transplant area I can't even imagine the fanbase is that large. Especially to expect numbers to a Monday night April game.
