That's the word: METS CLOSE TO ACQUIRING ADDISON REED
The Mets will send two minor leaguers to the Diamondbacks for the veteran reliever, pending exchange of medical information, according to ESPN's Adam Rubin and multiple reports. Reed, 2-2 with a 4.20 ERA in 38 appearances this season, would help bolster the bullpen.
You at the game I'm assuming? And yes I also got your text.

Yes. I'm at the game. Internet signal was weak so I tried texting. He's been pitching much better, but that's a bit of money saved.

Ok, first Tomas keeps his fat ass planted in right field and doesn't bother backing up first allowing a run to score on Lamb's bad throw....then he completely misplays a ball him to him, allowing another run to score.
Can we get rid of him yet? He needs to be an AL DH.

My wife is scared we will need to move an outfielder to get pitching and that it will be Inciarte leaving and not Tomas.

They need to lock Inciarte up for Tomas type money and move Tomas. An AL team will take him. I'd be good with locking Inciarte and Peralta up for 5/25-40 type contracts. Maybe longer for Inciarte since he's younger.

I haven't done any research so didn't want to post this question in the MLB thread as I may be way off......but how does our OF of Pollock, Inciarte, & Peralta stack up as best OF in the majors? Just looking at their numbers and watching them play the outfield. They have to rank pretty high, right?

I share your dislike of Ryan Braun. I went to middle school with his brother Stevie. And I went to high school with Stevie and Ryan. Ryan is such a kuh-ntttt IRL. I'm unabashedly jealous of Mr. Braun's net worth, however.

I'm guessing adding up the top 3 WAR for each team's outfielders is the easiest way to compare, but that sounds like a lot of work. So maybe if come 3pm tomorrow I am bored I will do it!

Keep in mind their time has been split between 4 guys so the lack of playing time may work against their WAR total. But yeah, that's probably best way to compare.

I don't want to add Tomas' negative WAR

Reason: And he might be positive in the OF due to his horrible 3b defense.

For sure....I was just curious about the other 3. The ones I'm hoping are the future.

Welp, I guess it's about time to quit caring about what the Dbacks are doing these days because they've sure thrown the towel in on the season. My only concern now is them getting to 74 wins so I win my Over bets.

Yep, good bye $10. Today was the nail in the coffin (although in reality it was the St. Louis series).

St Louis was the start of it. Blowing 2 leads in Colorado was the final piece I believe. But on a positive note, I had Dbacks over 3 runs today so Lamb's homerun just now was a nice $100 swing for me.

And the lolz continue. At least they kept things interesting for most of the season.

I didn't watch the last few innings and didn't know he pitched. Didn't know he was on the Cubs actually. Looks like we got him for a couple runs anyway.

Can we take David Hernandez out back and shoot him yet? I hope neither him nor Hudson are anywhere Arizona next year
Edit: Reynolds too. JFC our bullpen is so bad

Hale is great at waiting one batter too long to pull a pitcher.

Ok seriously. What the **** is Hale doing? Got a slew of right handed batters coming up, so he brings in Chafin? Let's him walk the bases loaded before giving up a grand slam.

Hopefully we don't blow it tonight.
