If you want to talk about hapless, you have to look at Cleveland. Any team that let's that team score five runs on them should lose half a game in the standings, just on principle.

Is there any human judgment in that stat or is it all position/trajectory based? Also with one out, Moose made an error on a guaranteed DP ball that led to a 5 run inning. I wonder if we get digned for all 5 runs on that?

The position/speed/elevation are from human judgment, then some voodoo algorithm spits out how often the play would be made.

It looks like each play is assigned a run value independent of actual game conditions, so Moose would be charged whatever fraction of a run that play was worth, not however many runs actually scored.

Based on my limited reading comprehension

They also stress that DRS is very susceptible to small sample sizes

So according to Chiefsplanet Bumgardner jawed at a guy all the way down the line and turning towards second today. Think he'll get a 5-game suspension?

Also according to them what started the stuff between Ventura and Trout was Trout shouted "let's get this bitch" after getting up and clap his hands, reportedly. Ventura took exception. Which is pretty dumb of Ventura, but it's hard even as a native English speaker to know if "bitch" meant "game" or "Ventura" in that context.

My understanding is that Ventura's suspension was more of a lifetime achievement award. If the benches clear, you'd have a better case that there is a double-standard.

That said, MadBum has struck me as a douche a few times, including yesterday with Guerrero, but he's the darling of MLB so he's going to get a more lenient superstar's treatment.
