now that the dust has settled i'd like to congratulate everyone on showing up on time.

auction was pretty loltastic to start as everyone tried to figure out the buttons and such, and there were some good wars. tom brady war springs to mind. also jimmy graham.

best auction pickups imo,

1) peyton for 39 (joejoe)
2) ben tate for $10 (priestover75s?)
gap
3) brees for $32 (CHAMPION SWAG) & rodgers for $36 (ZAIDS)

think everyone was like yea i'll get cutler for $2 later and as a result QBs were undervalued

Yeah I agree with that. The two combined took almost 5 hours. If it becomes a chore to manage two teams I may stick to one next year (auction ldo)

Auction would have been a lot quicker with an automated process for nominating players (maybe your own list of nominations or something). And a 15 second countdown for bidding rather than 30 + whatever it took when a snipe happened.

Could probably run both next year at the same time with a longer shotclock for the draft (doesnt matter if draft takes another hour, since we are already on) if not then just do one draft the Sunday before IMO.

Anyway, cheers for organising, let us gogogo

next yrs auction gonna have a much shorter clock for both nominations and bidding. (sth like 15 seconds to bid and 10 seconds to nominate, with the bid clock put back to 10 each time a new bid is made)

suggest people start memorising their cheat sheets now cos u aint gonna have a lot of time to look stuff up

not a fan of the idea of multitabling, i think that'd be quite tough. would be hard to keep track of other ppls rosters to figure out who is likely to be taken etc (plus other tactics that fantasy eggball experts such as myself employ)

problem is that 30 secs is pretty good for the early guys where loads of people might want to make a bid, whereas when u get to pick 120 its about 25 seconds too much

def gonna err on the side of less time/quicker auction tho next time
