Derper ($20) league auction will start at 7pm BST this Sunday (ie one hour later than advertised), this is partly to make things a little easier for lolaus timezone and also so that the start coincides with the end of the england-slovakia match which some ppl might be watching.

Very Expert Pro auction starts at 9pm BST Sunday, gives us a healthy 2 hours to wrap up the derper and make a cup of tea.

dont leave sign up to the league till the last second. one time I had to run around like a blue arsed fly trying to get an austrailian eggballer with a simpsons avatar and girls name - i wont mention them by name as i dont wish to cause any embarrassment - deleted and then readded with like 5 mins to go bc he forgot his yahoo pass. this caused me to miss out on vital research time and was the reason i did not win the league that year.

add yourself to the league in advance. if you need a new invite link cos you threw the first one in the bin then PM me.

last year we had a bit of a problem in that the nomination & bidding process took longer than expected and the auctions dragged on

this year the time to nominate is 30 seconds (lowest possible setting) and 10 seconds bidding process (tho if someone makes a bid within 5s the clock resets to 5s)

30 seconds to nominate is still too long imo so do please make an effort to not spend the whole 30 seconds deciding whether to nominate useless $2 player A or useless $1 player B and we'll hopefully not get bogged down like last time

hopefully this year the auction process is fast, furious, fun, and full of stuff like andre bidding $45 for the wrong mr johnson
