Good to hear and that has been my experience as well. They do take their time but do payout. Still have few playing money left there, site seems to load and save faster this week as well. Make sense to have non-gurranteed contests till they sort out funding. They offered a season's worth of overlay last season to their credit.

Not a big fan of Fan Team's salary pricing, but has started playing much regularly there as they offer other major leagues including Premier League and a variety of contests. FanTeam seems to be doing well compared to the other sites that started same time as them.

It seems (?) that we can play Yahoo DFS from the UK now:
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/how-to-...090529390.html

I had never heard of this, and google doesn't seem to yield any relevant result either. If true, how long has it been going? Is the soccer part of Yahoo DFS UK only? (I see only £ contests). Link to SOC scoring rules doesn't seem to work, idem link to how bonuses work.

I'm really glad to hear that, I did begin to worry that you may have lost out.

Mondogoal have now that they are pulling out, apparently this tweet was an e-mail that was sent out but I haven't received one:-

https://twitter.com/NaturalFootyFan/...11395105464320

There site also says (https://mondogoal.com) - "As of December 1st, Mondogoal will no longer be open for cash play. We have decided to move forward as business to business operation. All remaining balances are segregated and available for withdrawal. Please continue to play our freeroll contests and look for us on your favorite betting platform. Contact support@mondogoal.com with any questions.

Great spot.

I may be wrong but my understanding is they have been running a while in the US but had partnered up with Mondogoal and used their platform in the UK. I'd heard they were opening in the UK but didnt realise it would be now and assume it is linked to the the demise of Mondogoal. However don't quote me on any of this as I could be wrong

Rake seems to be 14% (ie 100+14, or 12.2% of the whole fee), main tourney is a 200 player £2. No deposit bonus it seems? We would seem to be playing in £ directly but with US players as well (who would be playing is USD obv).

I have recieved the email today and you have to send them your details to request withdrawal of funds either by bank wire transfer or Skrill. I have duly done so and we all have till December 31st to do the request or they will donate the funds to Gamecare charity. Strange as they have all customer details and can process it themselves without people sending requests if they closing down.

Yahoo had a long standing very popular seasonal fantasy Premier League game in the UK. That was discontinued just a few seasons ago and they launched DFS in the US last season. They partnered with Mondo instead of offering a stand-alone DFS in the UK. But makes sense they launching here as their brand for fantasy is well established, they have the resources and can do well.

They can offer seasonal, daily, monthly games in one go if they have sense. Always seemed a stretch that you can convert lots of seasonal players into daily players with a platform solely focused on daily games.

Here is the Yahoo link to their scoring rules. My initial impression is a very professional and well-planned launch. Prizes and buy-in's are in £ as it should be. Global pools for all the sports. Protection for new players from sharks with rookie and veteran game designation. Salaries are set fair and scoring across the sports is well-thought out.

Finally we get a DFS platform with the marketing budget, brand recognition as a business and also from offering popular seasonal fantasy games before DFS existed. Crucially looks like Yahoo has learned from the amateur mistakes of other DFS platforms. Without player protection and retention, you can not base a business for the long-term catering to hundred or so heavy volume sharks.

Even though fanaments had some major flaws i really liked playing there. I wonder if it is actually closing down for good or if something else is in the making.

I don't think i can bring myself to play at FanTeam. Their scoring system looks horribly boring.

Yahoo award points for "corner won", that would be a stat I assume has some huge irregularities in when points are awarded.

Not sure about Italy or France if they allow global pools. But other countries in Europe should be fine I think, can see Yahoo expanding in other countries as they have resources as a multi-national company.

Also this is another one to watch out in the coming months - http://finance.yahoo.com/news/global...143000229.html

Need to print and read all their scoring for the sports properly. I can see corners won at 0.5, but is one of the comprehensive scoring I have seen for football replicating the game's actions. No surprises at this as Yahoo run very popular FPL seasonal games way before DFS came on the scene. They know what they are doing, look forward to playing there from this weekend.

As far as I'm aware, crossed completed, corner won and penalties conceded aren't opta stats. Makes me wonder what data source they're using.

Prize pools seems a bit low on Yahoo and zero exposure. No real surprise to see Mondo go under, disappointing though as scoring was good.

Maybe Europe needs a network with shared liquidity to make fantasy succeed, sort of worked with online Texas Holdem poker for a while - the problem is everyone has different rules for fantasy football!

Yeh that does sound like a good way forward, the article a few up from Garrincha is along those lines and refers to being part of the NYX Gaming group, so I assume they are intending to link up with some of the following betting companies - http://www.nyxgaminggroup.com/case-studies

Yes needs to come via the bookies. Fantasy Network had the same idea but their product's not good enough.

NYX have a chance if they do it right but it might have to mirror FPL scoring to some extent.

Managed to withdraw some money previously, but Mondo has completely ignored my emails for my final withdrawal for over three weeks. Not even an acknowledgment 'we will look at it soon'.

I have been a big Mondo fan, but this is totally unacceptable. I am v v close to write to the Gambling Commission

I'm sorry to hear that and also very surprised, you always gave them a great deal of support. I'd be amazed if Chris or Shergul didn't respond to you and get things sorted if you tweeted them directly.

Is anyone else still owed money?

I got ~half through after 2 months or so with a direct wire transfer after dealing with support.
I have hit the withdraw button for the rest last week but haven't started chasing them with emails yet.
Hope you get it soon Bigo and the rest can follow suit quickly after.

FWIW, mondo have ignored all of my emails for the past ... 6 months + ??, but when I sent an email entitled "Raising a complaint with ADR group" a few days ago, I got 4 answers within two hours.

Same for me - I have been trying to withdraw for over 2 months and have not had a single acknowledgement. Withdrawal status has 'failed' twice now just says processing...

Starting to lose hope

On 22nd June in this thread I posted that "I don't believe Mondogoal are solvent." As someone who went through the FT debacle, I think players were burying their heads in the sand if you couldn't see what the signs pointed too.

Even now, they claim balances are fully segregated and available for withdrawal, but yet people are waiting on withdrawals. They are almost certainly busto and simply hoping for an investor to come along and buyout their debts on the basis of using their IP.

I managed to withdraw all my balance around June and that took around six weeks. Just have winnings left from the Euro's and start of the season. I have done as they asked and sent them an email with my username, email, bank account and sort code for bank wire transfer. So far no response from them and just a ticket confirming email has been received.

While Fanaments have kept their word and refunded the remaining funds in the account to my bank within a week. They also have been transparent and communicated by email properly.

Will be interested to know what the Gambling Commission say about this, as they have surrendered their license already. Have no idea what they have told the GC about player funds. Are they insolvent and player funds gone ?

Will they reimburse funds like Fanaments are doing ? The Fanaments licence is still active.
