How it works
Predict the results of each week’s Premier League games by simply marking 1,2 or X.
1 = Home Win
2 = Away Win
X = Draw
Points are awarded for correct predictions.

I wasn't going to bother running a season-long version, but I got bored one night last week and made a logo which was so cool that I felt the need to put it to use. I then figured out a way to automate a lot of the weekly admin work, so here we are!



Each entrant will get their own private entry sheet (on Google Sheets) which can be edited up to each gameweek's deadline. Email entries will also be accepted for those who struggle to access spreadsheet apps on their phones. Deadlines will generally be around 4pm Friday for weekend games, and 4pm Tuesday for midweek. Either way, deadlines will be very clearly displayed on the entry sheet each week and selections will then be transferred onto the master sheet for all to see. There will also be leaderboards and graphs.

As usual, I'll be doing the admin and mic_check12 will be holding the money. We're still undecided as to the buyin, so opinions are welcome! Current favourite is a £50 buyin with £30 going to the overall pool and £2 per month going to the MOTM prizes. We could also add an optional £10 Winner Takes All pool for the leader at Christmas! But if there's significant demand for a higher buyin (or a lower one without monthly prizes, or whatever) we're all ears.

What about a prize for last place as well? Gives people that get miles behind something to go for at the expense of being in contention for motm. Like if last won 2x the buy in or something. Could lead to massive tilt for people trying to lose but selecting winners

Yeah that's a very good point and I agree the draw is the best auto-pick. Let's go with that.

I’ve had 5 or 6 interested by email and I think LO has a bunch of pub regulars that will join so might be a reasonable field

I've set 30 entry sheets up so far. Anyone who wants one just PM me or send an email to worldcup12x@gmail.com, and you can also go ahead and send your entry money to mic_check via the usual means (PM him for payment info if you're not sure).

Entry is £50. It'll be broken down into a series of monthly prizes and an overall prize pool (which will include a last place prize). I'll be sending a comprehensive summary email out to everyone who's expressed an interest next week, and the deadline for entries is MIDDAY NEXT FRIDAY.
