Sorry for the delay in posting. This weekend was my birthday, plus my Dads birthday and Mothers Day and they were in town. So I was running around in circles.

Some thoughts so far on this.

Movie, I dont think there is any way we can keep Josh around as a coowner. Not sure if you need to shop around for another one, but I dont see anyway he can stay involved in the league. You are obviously going to have to change your login info too

For taking away prize money, I am shying away from that. It will be very complicated to show how much the cheating effected standings and who it effected. Also, while I agree with others that Movie should have at least seen these changes, I dont think we can totally throw the book at movie since its impossible to prove anything.

However, I do think there needs to be punishment. We cant set a precedent for cheating and especially one for blaming other people (the old celebrity "I was hacked" after tweeting something dumb). I do think picks need to be taken away or some other punishment handed out. If anyone has ideas, let me know

I will let the group decide if movie can retain LM status. And obviously if anything else of this nature happens, Movie would be kicked out and all league fees and winnings would be surrendered.

movie's co-partner. I agree with Dan. As I've said before I'm uncomfortable having someone who cheated remain in the league.

Re: prize money. It's hard to prove but we can say that team movie unequivocally benefited from these incidents. Especially as someone who finished 2nd I feel that I was cheated out of even potential prize. It's not throwing the book at movie it's taking appropriate measures to remedy the situation created by the team not him personally

some sort of punishment is definitely needed. i'm not sure what magnitude but it should be decided by the rest of the league.

re: LM status that's a much smaller worry for me but maybe a change is needed just to turn the corner on this

League vote for appropriate punishment and also I would like a new LM to go along with Dan. Maybe a team or 2 would volunteer for those responsibilities and we vote on who...

Its not only hard, its impossible to show how much the cheating affected the standings, because some people may have "given up" on the season at some point after a loss etc.

But none of that matter imo, its not about proving exactly what standing he would get without the cheating, the point is that if you cheat, you get disqualified from winnings. I wont receive any of the prize money so I feel Im totally objective in this.

+1 on Dan's thoughts regarding taking money away. Movie would have won some money regardless of cheating IMO. I feel I am in the minority but I personally don't care if he retains LM powers. I move for him forfeiting his first three picks in each AAA draft. I hope we can put something to a vote as soon as possible.

Fwiw, I already told my co owner that he can't be my co owner anymore and changed my login info. I personally don't feel comfortable with him as my co owner.

I also wouldn't give me back LM powers fwiw, I don't want any more possibility of this happening again.

I personally think with the infraction that affected baseball approximately 60 times there would have to be some financial punishment.

Personally I think money won from last year to be refunded or at least in MLB!

Sad if movie wasnt aware but it did occur on his account. Still appreciate all the effort into the league.

I think one of the main questions on taking back any winnings is where they would go.

Putting it in the prize pool overly benefits good teams this year. Giving it to other winners last year, doesnt account for someone who lost mid year due to cheating then decided to punt and play for picks or other sports. Its hard to quantify who and how much someone was effected.

I would lean more toward draft pick penalty than monetary. But we can put everything to a vote and go with the will of the people

I dont think its hard at all. If you disqualify his baseball winnings, give the baseball winnings to whoever was 1-2-3 there. If you disqualify the entire year, give to whoever came 1-2-3 overall. This is what you do in basically every sport? As you say its impossible to quantify the exact impact it had on everyone, so what you do when you disqualify someone from winnings is you just go down the list in the standings.

Putting it in this years prize pool should be out of question.

Assuming Movie loses LM powers and his co-owner gets the boot (both have already happened)

What additional punishment should there be?
1) Give back overall prize money
2) Give back Baseball prize money
3) Loss of 1st rounders
4) None

But maybe an option for giving back half the money? Even tho he might be responsible for his co-owner, it might be too much to ask for Movie to force the co-owner to pay back... Dunno. Just wouldnt want Movie to pay for the co-owner too.

For now lets just consider the options without specifics. So, give some (up to all) of the money back. Lose some (up to all) 1st rounders, etc

Ok. Well call me harsh but I vote for option 2+3+1 in that order, if its possible to vote for more than one punishment.

Movie is a top2 favourite guy for me in this league, enjoyed speaking with him and getting trade-raped because Im bad at trading :P

But I think this was pretty serious and affected so many matchups. Possibly I would consider just doing the 2+3 considering the time and effort he has put in as LM, which could be more effort than the prize money potentially.

Thinking about it one more time, ye I change my mind, I would go with 2+3.

I also in the same boat 2+3 or 1+3 is where I'm leaning. Think just money isnt the main factor because I fell cheated even though if he didn't win $$.i also think there needs to be addition punishment for this year cheating so think picks is fair but he has ability to battle for $$ this season.

think the 2 parts are to remedy an unquantifiable amount of edge afforded to team movie in prize money and deterrent for the future in draft pick losses.

if there were instances were this happened in baseball AND basketball/football i don't see a point in choosing 1 or 2 but not both, but the actual $ amount is a trivial amount and not the point anyway

I agree we should just vote on picks, prize money, or both right now. We could sort out how much or which picks later.



It's been 2 1/2 weeks since I first started looking into all of this, I've had a lot of time to consider things and think about all the possibilities. I'm sorry but I just can't convince myself that it would have been possible for movie to not have noticed SOMETHING or had some kind of idea as to what was going on. So I vote picks and $$

This is where we differ as co-owners....I vote money and picks possibly banishment cause I don't feel it's possible not to notice cheating for over a year. We will get together and put in 1 team vote if necessary
