If SIU takes 3rd in bball then him and drew split 2nd in the overall. Drew benched his whole team the whole week in bball facing porter, giving porter the only shot at taking 3rd from SIU in bball (porter would need to win 8-1 and SIU would need to lose 7-2 for it to happen)

It's cheap and low and tanking and I personally don't think we should stand for it but it's technically within the rules. Our tanking rule is for repeat offenders and this would be the first week drew did it

If need be, I can calculate what the Drew/porter,canoe score should've been, but the point is that SIU is the rightful 3rd place winner in bball

The format is a bit of a problem. I dont think its a good thing to have somebody being forced to knock them self out of a 2nd place in the total.

Still cant understand how people didnt vote for roto+weekly with a minimum of games for each position. Would solve basically everything.

Weekly definitely the way to go in basketball. We should vote on daily v. weekly again as people seem to realize now that weekly works better.

In light of this, I would definitely vote to go to roto for basketball. Since basketball is the last one in our rotation, it does make sense, and I can admit I was wrong in thinking h2h would be better.

We can work that out as we have plenty of time before next season anyway

A lot of this is a learning experience since no one has done a 3 sport league before. Regardless of that, I don't think anyone is ok with the kind of angle shooting Drew is doing

If there weren't rules to combat this sort of thing then IMO it shouldn't be a 'violation'

Sure it is kind of crummy and i may or may not do this sort of things but it's within rules and it's out of self interest, which is by definition competitive

weekly lineups does seem like an answer

YOU SHOULD ONLY BE ABLE TO INTENTIONALLY BENCH PLAYERS IN A SPORT IF IT IS BENEFICIAL TO THAT SPORT

Okay:Benching your squad on Sunday to save percentages when you're up by a sizable margin in every cat

Not Okay:Intentionally trying to give someone an 8-1 so they can pass a competitor in the overall standings.
