A couple people had issues with changing the rules this year. Hopefully next year we can modify it to the 10-15 range

If no one has a problem with it anymore can we change it now? Baseball has twice as many starters as the other 2 sports so it only makes sense that it would have twice as many youth squad players.

we cant change it now since we had trades based on 5 picks.

all the baseball prospects you want now will 99% surely still be prospects for next year's draft too imo

it makes a big difference if i was weighing trading my 1st knowing id have 9 more picks or 4 more picks, which definitely weighed into my trades

doing what now, though? 5 more rounds? how many spots will we have next year? 10? 15? will we draft 10 rounds every year? i just dont see why we would rush anything now before we clarify what were doing moving forward. especially when were talking about prospects who arent gonna play this year

theres just more to it to lay out than just drafting 5-10 more rounds, is my point. and i dont see the harm in being thorough since we have 3 weeks until baseball starts.

5 or 10? or 15? do we draft that many each year? is this just baseball? should it be the same for all sports?

i think part of the strategy is limiting it to 5 and keeping in mind who might play this year vs stay a prospect. it influences who you draft now and who you pass on to try and draft next year. thats part of the fun imo

How about we just say, no more drafting this year. All players who started this year classified as a prospect are not eligible to be pick up via waivers though, even if they surpass the min requirements. That way the players will still be there next year (when rosters will be expanded some amount) and the only thing we lose out on is that chance to probably pick up 5 rosterable minor leaguers who werent drafted, make the pros and are eligible..

im all for voting on expanding the minor systems for all sports to 10 starting next year, but keeping drafting 5 rounds for all sports. i think it makes the dp's more valuable, which is fun

I say pickups should be allowed of rookies in season, but any at the end of the season below the rookie requirement still will be automatically dropped in order to be eligible for draft next year and future years
