I can't speak for basketball but I like setting daily matchups in baseball it adds a fair amount of strat esp with a limit on add/drops per week

During football season everyone here will be in infi leagues

Since we're doing h2h I'd definitely prefer weekly.

Not yet. Any ideas? Default is just 1 point for last. 12 for first in each sport. Most points wins

Yea. That is something we tossed around. It might help keep people from tanking a sport to build up others but might also punish a rebuilding team which isn't ideal. If enough people want it we can vote. Hoping the variance of fantasy keeps people from trying to build 2 great teams and ignoring another since they would basically have to win 2 sports to beat a team with 3 decent teams

+1, unfortunately streaming is ****ty in H2H. being a dynasty league could help that.

For overall points I'd suggest something that's more top/bottom heavy so like 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 0, 0, -1, -2, -3

Ya, I guess with H2H it is, depending on bench size streaming can be real hard.

Going to throw out an idea:

Each year dues for all 3 sports are due before the start of the baseball season. If a team becomes dead or wants out, they lose the buy in for the overall standings. They can sell the team for the cost of each sport that is left to play. For instance baseball has already begun. Football and Basketball are still left. They can sell the team for the cost of those two sports. I think the new owner should be eligible for the overall standings prize pool that was forfeited by the original owner, since they will most likely operating at a disadvantage if someone neglected their team and drops out.

I don't know if teams should be able to opt out at the end of 3 sports year without penalty, or if their should be deposit for the following year.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

I agree we probably need something to make sure the people in the league are in it for the long haul since it might be harder to find a new owner on the fly for this league because of the setup.. Easiest way is to just have a deposit on the next year that is not given back if you leave and would just be applied to the overall pot or used as a discount for a new owner if the team was kinda bad. I would say like $50 (so a new owner could freeroll a sport if the teams were bad and we needed to offer an incentive).

Regardless of the benches people will still be able to stream if we do daily. I mean, you can't tell me that no matter the size of the benches every team won't have at least 1 spot they could use to stream.

The only thing it would do is make the pool of streamable pitchers smaller

Lowering the pickup count per week to like 3 or 5 makes it very difficult to do well. I mean, if people are worried about streaming I understand.

Edit: And FAAB waivers makes it expensive to consistently get the streamers you want as well

Or we could just put a cap on the amount of games per week that can be played.

if you want to reduce variance, why do you want 1-0 instead of say 8-2?

Makes strategy more fun when you can punt categories... I'm in a basketaball league that, and it's a lot of fun (though you play multiple teams each week to get an 82-game schedule, that reduces variance a bunch).
