This is true and I think a good point, but overall this draft just went slower. We started it 2 weeks before the season, which is what we've done for each draft in each sport, there's just been less activity and people taking longer.

Agreed that for NBA and probably MLB too we should start 3 weeks out, seems like no one has a problem being active at the beginning of NFL season

Obviously, starting the draft sooner would also solve the problem, but it kinda kills the pace of the draft and also the fun of it, when its like 30 hours and just 2 picks, everybody lose interest.

So, starting the draft earlier, Im all for it. And everybody PMing each other after the pick, Im all for that too, its common courtesy. But if somebody forgets, I still think the clock should be 12 hours from the pick, not 12 hours from the time somebody got a PM. But thats pretty easy to vote on for the next draft I guess.

dan, do you wanna set a final time for the remaining picks to be in (probably this evening)

then have a FA day like, wednesday?

then assume a regular FA schedule (mondays)?

He guys has free agency started? I was looking for people to take at 5:11 and saw Mike Muscala a few days ago and noticed Kevin picked him up today. If free agency hasn't started yet can I selected him at 5:11 if not I choose someone else. Let me know.

I guess to be fair his been on my watchlist for 2 days so I probably would taken him before. It's tough one.

I don't think it's tough at all, it was said that waivers started this morning. I was the top bidder on Muscala and he is now my player. Never thought you were insinuating that I was angle shooting either fwiw, as I have no idea how this could even be considered as an angleshoot.

I just want to make sure you didn't think I was taken a shot at you personally. I don't think it's that easy regarding the ruling because unless you going to have a clear advantage over myself and I think others were under the impression free agency doesn't start to after the draft finishes.

There is no clear advantage in a waiver system, everyone has the same chance to get each player. It isn't like you were unable to bid on Muscala and I was. It isn't like I was the only one who bid this week either. I am definitely not okay with you drafting someone on my team and if that's allowed to go through going to have a pretty big issue with it.

I didn't have clear chance to bid on him because as previously stated the draft was still going on so free agency hasn't started yet.

I'm ok having to argue this because you have advantage and I have been disadvantaged which isnt fair and in the sprite of our league.
