I'm down. Would prefer 10 man, but I'll play regardless.

Only time I can't draft is the 14th after 7pm pst.

I can draft anytime. I'd prefer 12 but it's not a big deal. I'll see if I can get another player or two.

right now ill say draft time is march 17th at 9pm est

subject to change based on people's schedules, but it also gives us 10 days to find a few more people, which is doable

also, keep posting ideas/thoughts about the rules posted above, ill write up my official stuff this weekend and post it

13th actually works better for me since Im already off work that day.

I *might* be able to get the 17th off, but its not a guarantee, and i wouldnt know for sure what im working until that weeks schedule is posted, (on March 12th) so if I get stuck working Id have to drop out.
Either way the sooner I know, the better chance I have of getting it off.

Also isnt March 17 St Pattys day? Not sure people realize that.

Anyway as of right now, the days I can draft for sure are:
Mon 3/10 after 5:30pm PT
Thur 3/13 all day
Fri 3/14 after 5:30pm PT
Sat 3/15 after 4pm PT

with Thur/Sat being the best.

My bad. I have a poker tournament on the 17th. If you can't change it, it's not a huge deal. I'll just set up my preferences and what not.

I also can't do the 19th but I can still obv set up the preferences.

The 17th is no good for me since I'll be pounding Guinness and Jameson all day. I'll still draft but it won't be pretty.

7. iraze

That's 10! So let's look for 2 more, but if we don't find them 10 isn't the worst thing in the world.

I have someone from work who is interested, and I believe cs3 said he might know someone. Those +1s put us at 12.

Just putting it out there. Let me know if it's worthwhile making him register for 2+2.

Hey ya'll, here are the rules I'm starting off with. If someone has a major problem or tweak, post about it and we'll iron it out. Lemme know if I forgot about something.

$50
H2H, 4 playoff teams - playoffs weeks 24 and 25.
6x6 stats: TB, HR, runs, rbi, obp & W, QS, (SV+HLDs), ERA, Whip, Ks
lineups: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, UTIL, UTIL, 8 P spots
8 bench spots, 3 N/As
1 DL spot

FAAB, $200 starting budget per team
Daily lineup changes, with daily FA
Max acquisitions per week: 5
1/2 of your remaining FAAB budget will carry over to the next year.

Draft picks may be traded, IF a deposit of 1/2 of the league fee ($50 buy in, so $25 deposit) for next season.

now the fun stuff, Keeper rules:
5 keepers kept, at least 1 hitter and 1 pitcher
Keeper cost: The 1st year a player is kept they cost the round they were drafted in.
2nd year: +1 round earlier
3rd year: +3 rounds earlier
4th year: +6 rounds earlier
5th year: +10 rounds earlier
If you do not have the draft pick to keep that player, you may keep that player for +1 earlier round. If you do not have the earlier draft pick, it takes the next earliest round. For example, John Doe is a 6th rder, but you traded your 6th and 5th pick, John Doe costs you a 4th rder.
You may keep a MAX of 2 players per round.

If you trade for a player, his keeper cost is the round he was drafted in.
If you pick up a player from FA who was drafted, his keeper cost is the round he was drafted in.
If you pick up a player from FA who was NOT drafted, his keeper cost is the last drafting round.
A max of 3 FA's who were not drafted may be kept per year.
Keepers can be kept for a max of 5 years

Payouts:
1st place - 50%
2nd - 25%
Reg season winner - 15%
3rd - 10%

Snake draft, Thursday March 13th at 9pm EST.

I think 5 acquistions a week is too much, should probably be 3 imo.

Also, wouldn't mind seeing a minimum innings pitched a week.

Rest seems fine.

With DontDoIt on the Minimum Innings Pitched per week.

Also, reading through the list there are only 5 batter categories, but I'm assuming you just missed Stolen Bases.

Fine on keeper costs and acquisitions.

One thing I'd maybe like to look into is Playoffs in weeks 23 and 24 instead of 25. I've seen leagues where starting pitchers are regularly scratched in week 25 because of real life playoff implications. Kind of sucks to get all the way to the final, only to have two aces get scratched for playoff rest. Although, I'm willing to bend to consensus.

Just to double check as well, we're doing this on Yahoo?

Also first time with FAAB, can that be included as part of trades?

Totally spaced on minimum innings, yes, whatever the default is

Yahoo's default for max acquisitions was 6 so I said 5, but I'm totally fine with 3.

Also, yes, forgot SBs.

I'm willing to change the playoffs, but I don't think baseball really rest guys the final week. Not a big deal to me though to move it a week earlier.

Yes to Yahoo

Yes to FAAB being able to be traded
